Promise of Blessings After Judgment

(Gen. 9: 1-17)

Key Verse: Gen. 9:16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."

 

God and our saints are spiritually the relationship between parents and children. That is why we confess that God is our Father. The word ‘covenant’ is the word that describes the relationship between the saints and God in biblical language. The text we read today deals with the covenant ceremony in which God made a covenant with Noah. Today, God is confirming the relationship of love with people through the covenant ceremony.

God loves mankind who have been judged for their sins and reestablishes the covenant relationship that has already been broken because of sin. In this way, all mankind is restored back to the image of God and as stewards representing God's rule. This is so that the relationship between God and man maintains the relationship of the first creation that was given to Adam. This is the meaning of the covenant. And to guarantee this covenant relationship, he gave the sign of evidence of a rainbow along with the promise of preservation that there will be no more flood judgments on mankind.

 

There is a good plan of God when you have test, tribulation, hardship, and disasters. So if you will over come in faith you will surely receive the blessing of God and know the will of God. A person to be tested then there is the blessing of God. A person to receive great tribulation, there is a great plan behind it.

There is historical tribulation, there will be historical God's plan.

 

1. God gave many and new blessings to the descendants of Noah who were freed from Satan, idolatry, and wicked sin.

1) Verse 1: God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, “Be fruitful and

increase in number and fill the earth.

2) Verse 2: God gave authority - Man ruled all living beings.

3) Verses 4-7: Do not eat the blood, and took all things and commanded them to govern.

 

2. God gave an eternal promise to Noah and his descendants (8-13).

1) God gave a promise to Noah, his family, and his descendants (8-9).

2) God blessed all the beasts came out from the ark. (10)

3) God made a covenant of rainbow. (11-17)

(1) He promised that the flood judgment would never happen again. (11)

(2) It is a covenant to build up to the eternal life. (12)

3. Noah's mistake and greater mistake of Ham (20-29)

2) The bigger mistake of Ham(22)

(1) See the naked body of Noah (2) Go out (3) Tell to the brother

3) The blessing to Shem and Japheth (23) Shem and Japheth took clothes

and put them on their shoulders, and they went in backwards and covered their father's naked body. They turned their faces away and did not look at their father's naked body.

Conclusion:

God blessed Noah and his family as they had to start a new work. Our God is a God of blessing. In particular, those who have accepted Jesus are delighted to give everything like His own sons and daughters. I pray that you will receive this blessing of God deeply. Also, God values ​​human life, created in His image, more than the world. Therefore, we must cherish all people and treat them with love. You mustn't hate any one. And in any case, we must remember the word of God's covenant and be sure of God's salvation.

 

Just as you remember the covenant God made with Noah whenever you see the rainbow, you will remember the words of the covenant made with the blood of Jesus Christ and save us completely. Only through a perfect relationship with Jesus is this relationship of love. Jesus becomes the mediator between God and us and the guarantee of the restoration of the covenant through Noah. Therefore, when we know Jesus as our Savior and believe in Him as our perfect Mediator and the guarantee of the covenant, we all become covenant people who restore God's image and reveal God's sovereignty to the world. If you remember Noah's covenant ceremony in your heart, believe in Jesus as your Savior, decide to live in the everlasting covenant with God, escape the world that has failed in grace, and live and enjoy a life of true glory in the name of the Lord.
