THE POWER OF GOD

( Gen. 21:1-8 )

 

Today's text is about the birth of Isaac, the son promised to Abraham. After a long wait, Isaac was finally born in impossible circumstances. God had already specifically told Abraham twice that Sarah would give birth to Isaac (17:17-21; 18:10-15). That prophecy has now been fulfilled. The promise of God will be fulfilled certainly. The answer comes to Abraham for 25 years. We have to receive mystery of answer of prayer with this message.

 

1. Actual problem for answer of prayer

  1) God wants that we have to find lifelong prayer topic. (Gen.12:1-3)

    (1) Therefore we must pray to have prayer topic automatically.(1Sam.1:9-18)

    (2) It is possible when you find God’s plan. so you need to pray to find God’s great will. (Gen.37:1-11, Ps.78:70-72)

  2) God wants that you must pray continually.

    (1) Gen.13:18 Abraham made an altar.

    (2) Gen.15:1 In a vision

    (3) Gen.17:3 When you fell facedown Therefore answers of prayer come to Abraham continually.

  3) God wants that you must pray spiritual prayer.

    (1) Ps.103:20-22

    (2) 2King19:14-15

    (3) 2King 6:8-23

 

2. Qualification to receive great answer of prayer.

  1) Gen.12:1-3

  2) Gen.22:1-13

  3) Jn.8:56

  4) Gen.3:15

    (1) Those who wait Messiah and witness him.

    (2) Those who grab hold covenant of Word (Gen.21:1-2)

        v. 1 Now the LORD was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did for Sarah what he had promised.

        v.2 Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised him.

    (3) Those who believe power of God that is unlimited. (Gen.21:7-8)

 

3. If you want to be successful believer.

  1) The complete gospel

    (1) Understand

    (2) Enjoy

    (3) Apply(Use)

  2) Those who have prayer topic for their business and job in schedule of gospel

  3) Those who experience answer of prayer continually.

 

Conclusion:

When our timetable and God's timetable are different, we must leave behind the timetable we want. We must wait with more trust in God's timetable.

You should not be scared because God's time and your time schedule are different.

All we have to do is wait and pray for God to accomplish what He said. Waiting without prayer leads to laziness, but waiting with prayer gives us

the strength that God gives us. Please seek the strength and wisdom that God gives, and obey to His given Word.
