Genesis 38
THE PEOPLE WHO RECEIVE
THE GUIDANCE OF GOD.
( Gen.24:50-67 )
Genesis chapter 24 is the largest chapter in Genesis. Abraham sent his servant to his hometown to find a wife for Isaac and bring her to the land of Canaan. Abraham's servant met Rebekah near a well in the city of Nahor and was convinced that she was the one prepared by God. Rebekah returned home and told the story of meeting Abraham's servant. Rebekah's brother Laban met Abraham's servant and invited him to his home. Abraham's servant met Rebekah's family and shared his testimony of the grace God had bestowed on Abraham's family and how he was convinced that Rebekah was the person God had prepared. After listening to the testimony of Abraham's servant, Rebekah's brother Laban and her father Bethuel responded that what had happened so far was not
a coincidence but God's guidance.
The people who walked with God will receive the answer of prayer. God make them to meet the man of faith. If they will face difficulties the great door of answer will open.

Conclusion:
Family is the fundamental site of inheritance of Christ’s covenant.
The first family was established by God, and Adam and Eve became one body in obedience to God's providence. However, when Adam and Eve disobeyed God, the couple's love was broken and they degenerated into blaming and shifting responsibility toward each other. After Adam's disobedience, attitudes toward marriage and family changed.
Human choices and decisions have become more important than God's providence. This change in perspective is not limited to marriage and family but is found throughout life. The attitude of disobeying God does not remain only in the realm of religion, but changes the entire worldview. Although Laban and Bethuel had never met Isaac, who would become their son-in-law, and their parents had not gathered in one place for a meeting, the reason they were able to proceed with their marriage was because they realized God's clear guidance and providence.
Laban and Bethuel said to Abraham’s servant, ‘Make her your master’s son’s wife, as Jehovah has commanded.’ This is Laban and Bethuel's confession of faith that acknowledges that God has sovereignty over the meeting.
By obeying the word of God, Abraham left his hometown, his relatives, and his father's house (Genesis 12:1) and started a family. Now, by obeying the word of God, he is proceeding with marriage with the family that wants to send his daughter away. A way of life that seeks God's will by trusting in God's guidance not only in marriage but in all other matters will defeat all forms of idolatry and not only give glory to God, but also lead a prosperous life under God's guidance.
