종교개혁만이 모두가 살길입니다
역사를 History라 하는데, 그분의 스토리라는 뜻입니다. 역사를 주관하시는 분이 처음과 과정, 결말을 성경을 통해 기록해서 우리 손에 들려주신 이유가 뭔지는 알고 살아야 합니다. 그러면 각 개개인의 삶도 ‘나는 어디서 와서, 어디로 가며, 뭘 해야 하는 존재인지’ 아는 사람으로 살 수 있게 됩니다. 단기 작전 중인 군인이라도 이 세 가지를 모르고 길을 간다면 전시에 탈영한 군인과 같은 존재가 될 수밖에 없는 것입니다.
현재 교회는 힘도 없고 오히려 비난 받는 일이 많습니다. 지금은 왜 이런 어려운 일이 일어나는지 다 이해할 수는 없지만, 그런데도 한 가지 분명한 것은 하나님의 허락 없이는 미미한 참새 한 마리라도 땅에 떨어지지 않는다고 하셨습니다(마태복음 10:29). 왜 이런 상황을 허락하셨을까요? 여러 가지 요인이 있겠으나 저의 관점으로는 ‘갱신, 종교화되어있는 교회에 대한 개혁’을 주된 요인으로 보고 있습니다.
1. 성경에는 종교개혁의 역사가 기록되어 있습니다.
아담과 함께 모든 사람이 하나님께 반역하여 영원한 지옥 형벌이 선고된 사실을 원죄라 합니다. 원죄(운명)에서 벗어날 수 있는 그리스도(메시아) 언약을 아담과 함께 모든 사람에게 세워주셨습니다(창세기 3:15). 이 언약을 믿는 믿음의 고백으로 피 제사를 지냄으로 하나님과의 교재(예배)가 이뤄지게 되었습니다. 그러나 노아 시대에 이르러 그리스도 언약을 놓치고 또다시 흑암 세력에 속아 네피림시대를 맞게 되었지요. 이때 전 지구적인 홍수심판이 이뤄지고 방주 안에 들어온 자들만 살아남았습니다. 노아의 후손들로 번성된 인류는 또다시 피 제사와 방주를 놓치고 바벨탑을 쌓게 되었습니다. 동일 언어를 구사했던 인류에게 언어 혼잡이 오고 바벨탑이 무너지며 메시아 언약과 피 제사를 오직으로 붙든 아브라함이 세워졌습니다. 그 이후 언약이 희미해질 때마다 애굽의 노예가 되었고, 앗수르에 망하고, 바벨론에 포로가 되고, 로마에 의해 속국 되고, 유리방황하며 인종청소까지 당하게 되었던 것입니다. 중세 암흑기가 극에 달했을 무렵 1517년 10월 31일 종교 개혁가 마르틴 루터가 로만캐톨릭의 비복음적 요소를 95개 조 반박문으로 발표하는 사건으로 출발하여, 오직 복음만을 붙들어야 산다는 종교개혁운동이 일어난 것입니다.
2. 루터의 종교개혁 이후 복음 운동이 전 세계로 퍼졌습니다.
그사이 중요한 역사적 사실 중 하나는 1948년에 이스라엘과 대한민국이 건국된 것입니다. 그러면서 21세기에 이르러 한국이 미국 다음으로 해외선교사를 많이 파송하는 나라가 되었습니다. 하나님의 History인 구약시대에는 이스라엘이 주역이었으나 AD. 70년경에 망했고 세계 각국에 유리방황하다가 옛 고토에 나라를 세울 수 있게 되었습니다. 그런데 같은 해에 대한민국이 민주국가로 세워지게 된 것입니다. 이스라엘과 한민족은 셈의 현손 에벨을 동일 조상으로 둔 민족이라는 주장이 많습니다. 어찌 되었건 루터의 종교개혁 이후 5백 년이 흐르며 또다시 복음이 희미해지며 종교화 됐습니다. 그 결과 전 세계와 교회는 큰 시련기를 맞고 있습니다.
3. 현시점에서 시급히 개혁되어야 할 내용은 뭘까요?
사람은 하나님의 형상대로 창조된 영원한 존재이기 때문에 하나님과의 단절은 곧 영원한 멸망입니다. 원죄로 인하여 단절되었으나 그리스도(메시아) 언약으로 한 몸 되는 길이 열려있습니다. 우리의 모든 죄를 대신하여 십자가에 못 박혀 죽으시고, 사흘 만에 부활하사 지금도 살아계신 예수 그리스도를(계시록 3:20) 구주로 영접하면(요한복음 1:12) 사면복권 받고 하나님의 자녀가 되며 그리스도와 한 몸이 됩니다. 머리 되신 그리스도와 몸 된 사람은 동일체가 되는 것입니다. 그런데 믿는다고 하면서도 예전 그대로 내가 나의 주인 노릇을 하며 나를 위하여 도움받는 수단으로 가끔 예수 그리스도를 부르고 있는 거짓 종교로 빠져버리면 하나님 앞에 가증한 죄가 되는 것입니다.
개혁의 키는 주 예수 그리스도께 집중하여서 한 몸인 상태를 회복하는 것입니다. 요한복음 15:5절에 예수께서 믿는 우리에게 “나는 포도나무요 너희는 가지니 저가 내 안에, 내가 저 안에 있으면 이 사람은 과실을 많이 맺나니 나를 떠나서는 너희가 아무것도 할 수 없음이라” 하셨습니다. 가지가 각기 독립하여 포도나무 둥치를 떠난 상태에 있으면 아무 쓸모도 없는 마른 가지가 되어 밖에 버리어 불태워지는 것입니다. 성경 전체의 핵심 내용은 그리스도를 구주로 모시고 하나님과 하나가 된 상태인 하나님의 형상을 회복하라는 것입니다.
원죄의 심각성을 깨닫고 회개하여 예수 그리스도를 구주로 영접하면 하나님이신 예수 그리스도와 한 몸이 됩니다. 이것이 예수님을 믿는 것이요, 예수님을 주인으로 모시고 한 몸 되어 사는 것을 신앙생활이라 합니다. 그러면 믿는 우리의 영적 신분은 천국 보좌에 계신 아버지 하나님과 같은(?) 신분이 되며, 새로운 인생을 살며 새로운 힘이 나오는 것입니다. 예배드릴 때도 주일 날 가서도 이 축복을 누리는 것입니다. 평일날 교회 밖의 삶도 흩어지는 예배의 삶을 천국 보좌의 파수꾼으로 사는 것입니다. 그런데 종교개혁 이후 5백 년이 지나면서 또다시 모이는 예배도 흩어지는 예배도 대부분 나 중심의 종교 생활로 변질되어 버렸습니다. 여기서 개혁하는 첫 발걸음은 초대교회의 사도행전 2:42 절을 회복하는 것입니다. 교회를 통해 주시는 말씀의 흐름을 붙잡는 것입니다. 그러면서 같은 교회에 와 있는 사람은 각기 하나님의 이유가 있으므로 한 몸 된 지체로 서로 교제하며, 함께 구원받은 걸 늘 감사하면서 성만찬에 참여하고, 오로지 하나님과 함께하는 기도를 쉬지 않고 누려야 합니다. 이는 우리의 종교화 되어 황폐된 모든 것을 바꾸는 첫걸음입니다. 이 답을 안 누리고 안 가르치면 공예배는 드리나 마나가 되고 삶은 점점 세상 어두움에 묶여가고 더 나아가 흑암의 종노릇 할 수밖에 없습니다. 다 함께 개혁의 길로 들어서시기를 바랍니다.

Religious Reform Is the Only Way for Everyone to Live.
History means “His story.” We must live knowing the reason why the one who controls history recorded the beginning, process, and ending through the Bible and gave it to us. Then, each individual will be able to live as a person who knows “where I come from, where I am going, and what I have to do.” Even if you are a soldier on a short-term operation, if you go on the road without knowing these three things, you will inevitably end up like a deserter during wartime.
The church today does not have any power and are often criticized. We many not understand why such difficult things happen right now, but one thing is clear: God said that not even a sparrow falls to the ground without God's permission (Matthew 10:29). Why did God allow this situation? There may be many factors, but I believe “renewal and reform of the religiously-oriented church” is the main factor.
1. The history of religious reformation is recorded in the Bible.
The fact that all people, along with Adam, rebelled against God and were sentenced to eternal punishment in hell is called original sin. God established the covenant of Christ (Messiah) with Adam for all people to escape original sin (destiny) (Genesis 3:15). Through blood sacrifice as a confession of faith in this covenant, fellowship (worship) with God was accomplished. However, in the time of Noah, people missed the covenant of Christ and were once again deceived by the forces of darkness, entering the era of Nephilim. At this time, a global flood judgment occurred, and only those who entered the ark survived. Humanity, which prospered through Noah's descendants, once again lost hold of the blood sacrifice and the ark and ended up building the Tower of Babel. Language confusion came to mankind, who once spoke the same language, the Tower of Babel collapsed, and Abraham, the only one who held on to the Messianic covenant and blood sacrifice, was chosen. From then on, whenever the covenant faded from people’s minds, Abraham’s descendants became slaves to Egypt, was destroyed by Assyria, was taken captive by Babylon, became vassals by Rome, wandered around, and even suffered ethnic cleansing. At the height of the Dark Ages, on October 31, 1517, religious reformer Martin Luther announced the 95 Theses against the non-evangelical elements of Roman Catholicism, giving rise to a religious reformation movement that advocated that one is saved only by holding on to the gospel.
2. After Luther’s Reformation, the gospel movement spread throughout the world.
One of the important historical facts in the meantime was the establishment of Israel and the Republic of Korea in 1948. Meanwhile, in the 21st century, Korea became the country that sends the most overseas missionaries after the United States. In the Old Testament era—God's history—Israel played a leading role, but in AD. 70, Israel collapsed and its people wandered around the world until it was able to establish a country in its old homeland. And in the same year, the Republic of Korea was established as a democratic country. There are many claims that the Israelites and the Korean people are people with the same ancestor, Eber, the great-grandson of Shem. In any case, 500 years have passed since Luther's Reformation, and the gospel has once again become obscure and religious. As a result, the whole world and the church are facing hard times.
3. What needs to be reformed urgently at this point?
Since humans are eternal beings created in the image of God, separation from God means eternal destruction. Although we were separated due to original sin, the way to become one body with God is open through the covenant of Christ (Messiah). If you accept Jesus Christ, who was crucified on behalf of all our sins, was resurrected on the third day, and is still alive (Revelation 3:20), and accept Him as your Lord and Savior (John 1:12), you will receive pardon and restoration and become a child of God. We become one body with Christ. Christ, the head, and man, the body, become one. However, if you claim to believe but fall into a false religion where you are your own master and occasionally call on Jesus Christ as a means of receiving help for yourself, it is an abominable sin before God.
The key to reform is to restore the state of one body with Christ by focusing on the Lord Jesus Christ. In John 15:5, Jesus said to us believers, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” If each branch becomes independent and leaves the vine, it becomes a useless dry branch and is thrown outside and burned. The core content of the entire Bible is to restore the image of God, which is the state of becoming one with God by accepting Christ as one’s Lord and Savior.
If you realize the seriousness of original sin, repent, and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you become one body with God, Jesus Christ. This is believing in Jesus, and living as one body with Jesus as our Lord is called the walk of faith. Then, as believers, our spiritual status becomes the same as God the Father on the throne of heaven, and we live a new life and receive new strength. You can enjoy this blessing when you go to church on Sundays and when you worship. Even on weekdays, your life outside the church can also be lived while having scattered worship as watchmen of the throne of heaven. However, as 500 years have passed since the Reformation, most of the gathered worship and scattered worship have degenerated into a religious life centered around “me.” The first step to reform here is to restore Acts 2:42 of the early church. It is to hold on to the flow of the Word given through the church. At the same time, each person in the church has a reason to be there given by God, so they must have fellowship with each other as one body, participate in the Holy Communion while always being thankful that they have been saved together, and enjoy the prayer of being with God without ceasing. This is the first step to change everything that has been ruined by the religionization of the gospel. If you do not enjoy this answer and do not teach it, public worship becomes a waste, and your life becomes more and more bound by the darkness of the world; and furthermore, you have no choice but to become a slave to darkness. I hope that we will all embark on the path of reform together.
