JOSEPH’S CONFESSION OF FAITH

(Genesis 45:1-8)

 

 

 

Introduction:

Joseph says: “God worked before you when you sold me.” “God sent me to work to save the lives of all of us.” In verses 5-8 of chapter 45, Joseph said, “God sent me.” He says it over and over again three times. Joseph lives a life that acknowledges God's sovereignty and His providence. He sees the harsh times he went through due to his brothers' cruel actions from God's perspective and as God's providence. Joseph is confessing that He is a God who breaks through all kinds of human selfishness, lies, mistakes, and crimes to save His people and faithfully keeps the promise He gave to Abraham. God is working in the same way today in our life journey. The person who put me in this situation right now is not a coincidence, but God. Faith is realizing why God put me here. I want you to have the grace to look back on your life through God's providence and God's perspective.

Today's text is a text that contains a confession of faith about how Joseph lived his whole life, and how he was able to find God's important blessings

within him and stand as the prime minister of Egypt without breaking down, giving up, or failing during the difficult life of slavery and prison.

In verses 7 and 8, 7 “But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance.

8 "So then, it was not you who sent me here, but God. He made me father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household and ruler of all Egypt.“ God did it.

He confesses, ‘Being sold to Egypt had God’s plan, the prison had God’s plan, and because it became God’s timetable, he stands in the position of ruler of

Egypt.’ There was a plan from God for a reason. This is a great confession. He knew God's plan. No matter how weak a person is, when he realizes

that many events in the past were God's plan, his prayer topic changes. If you do not know God's plan, you have no choice but to constantly be tempted

by problems, become discouraged, give up, and complain. This is because there is no answer to the problem. However, if you know God's plan,

things will change. For the children of God called in the gospel, there is God’s plan for every single incident.

Conclusion:

 

There may be believers who are in a situation where they cannot speak. If it's a big problem, God has a big plan. And He guides you to a good place.

The timetable called ‘today’ is passing in order to give us enough evidence to go to the ends of the earth and stand as witnesses.

I hope you don't feel resentful when looking at the past. There is a plan from God. God has called us with this plan.

Discovering God's plan is most important. God's plan is clear. Please never be discouraged and never give up.

Once you discover God's plan in the face of big problems, small problems do not become a problem.

Without this answer, our life must always be in resentment. God has a perfect plan for us. If we break down because we are a little weak,

we just shake it off and get up. Even in our weaknesses, if we are a child of God, there is a perfect plan.
