Genesis 75

JACOB IS INVITED

(Genesis 45:9-20)

Introduction:

After seeing that his brothers have changed from their past and are becoming friendly with each other, Joseph reveals his identity and shares the joy of their

true reunion as brothers. This news became known to Pharaoh, and he invited Jacob and all his family to Egypt. When interpreted spiritually, this teaches us

that the beginning of true fellowship between fallen humans and God is only possible by accepting Jesus Christ and resolving the problem of human sin.

With five more years left before the great famine, Jacob decided to move to Egypt, and this famine was a tool used by God to prosper Jacob's family in Egypt

and turn them into the nation of Israel.

If you hold on to promise and continue to pray, a miracle will happen. If you continue to pray without fail, ages will change. If you hold on to promise and pray, God's evidence will appear in all areas (economy, politics, world humanity). If you don't have promise of God Or, if you pray incorrectly,

you will receive a different answer and fail. That is failure of the unhealthy mysticism, humanism, and program (intellectualism).

1. Those who hold on to the promise won.

  1) Abraham (Genesis 22:1-13)

     v. 13. Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns.  He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering

            instead of his son.

  2) Isaac (Genesis 26:10-22)

    v. 22. He moved on from there and dug another well, and no one quarreled over it. He named it Rehoboth, saying, "Now the LORD has given us room

and we will flourish in the land."

    v. 23. That night the LORD appeared to him and said, "I am the God of your father Abraham. Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bless you

and will increase the number of your descendants for the sake of my servant Abraham."

    v. 24. Isaac built an altar there and called on the name of the LORD. There he pitched his tent, and there his servants dug a well.

  3) Jacob (Genesis 32:23-32)

    v. 28. Then the man said, "Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with men and have overcome."

  4) Joseph (Genesis 37:1-11)

2. Promise to Jacob who was invited

  1) It is the fulfillment of Genesis 15:9-13.

    (1) Importance of worship (Genesis 4:1-20)

    (2) Matthew 4:1-10

    (3) Genesis 2:17, Mark 10:45

  2) Genesis 12:1-6 The beginning of the promise

    (1) Joseph and the believers’ victory and beginning (in Egypt)

    (2) Victory of believing Israel

    (3) Joshua 1:1-9

        ⓐ 1 John 5:11-13 John 14:14, 15:7, 15:16, 16:24

        ⓒ 1 Corinthians 10:13, Matthew 16:13-20

        ⓓ Ephesians 2:3-4, Romans 8:2, Mark 10:45

        ⓔ 1 Peter 5:7-8, Judges 3:5-6, John 14:16-17

  3) The beginning of God’s evidence that saves the whole world

    (1) In Egypt

    (2) Through Israel (10 miracles)

    (3) Plan through Moses (Exodus 3:1-18, 3:20)

3. Conclusion: God’s desire for saints

  1) God’s secret to each individual (identity)

  2) God’s secret (covenant) about family

  3) God’s secret (power) to the nation and the world

In order to make Joseph's dream come true, God isolated him from his family for a while. In order to make Joseph more blessed and honorable,

God made him leave for a while. Now it is God giving it back. He was appointed as a missionary who will carry out God's will and as a savior

who will save Egypt, the people of Israel, and many people. In front of this amazing blessing from God, Jacob confessed, “God! I am satisfied.”

Enjoying the blessing of God fighting for Israel, the nation of Israel was established to save the world.
