Conclusion:
Why is it faith that Joseph said on his deathbed that the children of Israel would definitely leave Egypt and asked that his bones be buried in the land of
Canaan? This is because even though he lived in the land of abundance, his eyes are fixed on the promised land. That's what faith is.
Looking at the promised land of heaven, looking forward to the invisible as if it were visible, that is faith. That is why Genesis ends with an open ending.
It means living with a desire for eternal heaven, not for the temporary kingdom of the world. This is not only the theme of Genesis and the Pentateuch,
but the theme of the entire Bible. The theme of the entire Bible is the kingdom of God.
