세상에서 인생은 구원받기 위해 잠시 거쳐가는 과정입니다.
세상에서 인생의 목적은 구원받아 더 나은 부활을 위해 정해진 기간 동안 잠시 살다 돌아가는 것임을 알아야 합니다. 이를 알지 못하고 주어진 세월 다 허송케 하고 지옥으로 끌고 가고자 하는 악한 마귀와 악령들의 활동이 더더욱 악해져 가고 있음을 보며 혹 종말이 가까웠나 여겨지기도 합니다. 그러나 복음 모르는 사람들이 주변에도 너무나 많음을 보며 기도하고 있습니다. 잠시 세상을 사는 동안 하나님의 은혜로 예수 그리스도를 구주로 영접하여 하나님의 자녀가 된 사람은 인생의 모든 문제가 끝났습니다. 남은 육신의 삶은 그리스도 안에서 성장하면서 구원 사역에 쓰임 받으며 영원한 상급을 쌓아나갈 기회가 될 것입니다. 나그네의 삶을 사는 우리는 이 흑암 세상에 무슨 소망을 두고 사는 것은 아닙니다. 그러나 가능하다면 지구 종말 때까지 지속적으로 우리 후대들과 세계 살릴 전도와 선교 시스템은 만들어 놓고 돌아가야 할 것입니다. 복음 전도와 선교를 위한 헌신의 모든 보상은 천국 본향에 다 쌓일 것입니다. 하나님은 모든 사람이 구원에 이르기를 원하십니다. 그러기 때문에 아담과 함께 영원한 지옥 형벌을 선고받은 모든 각 사람이 한번씩 살다 가는 인생의 목적은 누구에게나 동일합니다.
1. 모든 각 사람이 살다가는 세상은 구원받기 위해 잠시 거쳐 가는 곳입니다.
히브리서 11장 38절에 세상은 우리가 잠시 거쳐 가는 곳이지 영원히 살 곳이 아니라고 말씀하십니다. 영원히 살 곳은 부활의 몸을 덧입고 영원히 사는 천국과 지옥 중의 한 곳입니다. 사도 바울은 고린도전서 15:19절에서 “만일 그리스도 안에서 우리가 바라는 것이 오직 이 세상뿐이라면, 우리는 모든 사람 가운데서 가장 비참한 사람이라” 하였습니다. 만약 현 세상에서 육신의 삶을 사는 동안만 살고, 부활이 없다면 우리는 세상 모든 사람 가운데 가장 비참한 자들일 것입니다. 현 세상에서 우리 성도들이 전도와 선교를 위해 받는 고난과 헌신은 그것으로 끝이 아니라 영원한 천국 본향에서, ‘더 좋은 부활’이란 보상이 있습니다.
그런데 불신자는 물론 많은 기독교인들마저 현 세상을 삶의 전부로 보며 살아가고 있습니다. 절대 아닙니다. 속지 마세요. 세상은 아담과 함께 선고받은 영원한 지옥 형벌에 대하여 그리스도를 통해 사면 복권받을 수 있는 기회로 지옥 형벌 집행유예 기간을 사는 것입니다.
2. 대부분, 세상에서 그리스도의 사람이 되려면 큰 결단이 필요했습니다.
예수 그리스도께서는 자기를 따르려는 제자 후보들을 향해, 자기 소유를 포기해야 하며 자기를 부인해야 하고, 자기 십자가를 져야 하며, 세상 사람들로부터 미움과 조롱과 박해와 매질을 받을 수 있으며, 심지어 죽게 될 수도 있다는 사실을 분명하게 반복적으로 일러 주셨습니다. 믿음의 선진들이 살았던 파란만장한 삶에 관해 히브리서 11장은 보여주고 있습니다. 로마 시대였던 초대 교회 시절에 유대 사람들이 그리스도의 사람으로 산다는 것은 유대 공동체에서 출교되고, 재산이 몰수되고, 살던 고향을 떠나 어딘가로 도망 다녀야 한다는 것을 의미했습니다. 유대 사회 어디에나 있던 회당에 출입할 수 없고, 그들과 교제할 수 없고 매매할 수도 없고 따돌림을 당한다는 것을 의미했습니다. 1~3세기의 로마 사람들이 예수 그리스도를 믿는다는 것은 시민권을 박탈당하고 언제든지 붙잡혀 죽게 된다는 것을 각오해야 했습니다. 재산의 몰수는 기본이었고, 자신과 가족의 안전은 심각한 위협에 놓이게 되는 그런 선택이 ‘그리스도의 신자’로 살겠다는 것입니다.
중세 1천 년 암흑기의 기나긴 세월 동안 성경을 읽을 수도 없었으나 성경대로 믿고 살겠다는 것은 종교 재판을 받아 마녀로 판결받아 죽겠다는 뜻이나 마찬가지였습니다. 그리스도의 사람으로 산다는 것은 엄청난 희생과 대가를 요구하는 것이었습니다. 그리스도께서는 구원의 가치에 관해 자신에게 속한 모든 것을 다 바쳐도 아깝지 않다는 것을 밭에 감추인 보화나, 값진 진주 비유에서 말씀하셨지요.
3. 내가 나의 주인이 되어 세상에 소망을 두고 사는 것은 어리석은 삶입니다.
그리스도를 구주로 영접하여 그리스도와 하나 되어 그리스도의 사람이 된 성도는 세상과 비교할 수 없는 더 좋은 부활을 소망하며 잠시 세상을 살고 있습니다. 물론 불신자도 세상을 살다 간 후에 부활하게 됩니다. 그러나 그것은 심판의 부활이요, 영원히 지옥에서 고통받으나 영원히 죽지 아니할 몸으로 부활하는 것입니다. 요한복음 5장 29절에 보면 “선한 일을 행한 자는 생명의 부활로, 악한 일을 행한 자는 심판의 부활로 나오리라.”라고 했습니다. 선한 일은 하나님께서 열어주신 그리스도 언약을 믿고 그리스도를 구주로 영접하여 모시고 사는 일입니다. 악한 일은 하나님을 반역하여 하나님의 형상인 자신의 주인 노릇 하며 사는 것입니다. 세상 임금 마귀가 세상을 장악한 상태에서 끌고 가기 때문에 마귀의 통치에서 벗어날 수 있는 길은 오직 예수 그리스도를 구주로 영접하는 길뿐입니다. 그러기 때문에 세상과 마귀무리들은 예수 그리스도 붙들지 못하도록 총력을 다하여 방해하고 있는 것입니다.
사도 바울도 그리스도인으로 산다는 것이 엄청난 비용과 대가를 치를 것이란 점을 분명하게 언급했습니다. 지금도 공산주의 국가나 중동의 많은 회교권 국가, 아프리카를 비롯한 동남아 각 지역에서는 예수 그리스도를 믿고 구주로 모시고 살기 위해서는 엄청난 대가를 치러야만 합니다. 앞으로 대환란 시대가 되면 예수 그리스도를 믿는다는 것은 곧바로 사회적 매장이나 목 베임과 같은 위험을 요구받게 될 수도 있을 것입니다. 그렇다면 왜 이런 것을 거리낌 없이, 결단하며 좁은 길을 걸어갈 수 있습니까? 세상은 누구나 구원받기 위해 잠시 거쳐 가는 것이요 육신의 삶보다 비교할 수 없는 ‘더 좋은 부활’과 영원한 천국 본향의 삶이 있기 때문입니다.

Life Is a Brief Process We Go Through in Order to Be Saved.
We must understand that the purpose of life in this world is to be saved and live for a short, designated period of time for a better resurrection before returning home. Looking at how the activities of the devil and evil spirits that make people waste all of their given time in order to drag them to hell are becoming more and more wicked, it makes us think that indeed the end is near. And as I see that there are so many people around me who do not know the gospel, it keeps me in prayer. For those who, by the grace of God, were able to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior while living in this world and became children of God, all the problems in life are over. The remaining physical life will be an opportunity to grow in Christ, be used in the ministry of salvation, and accumulate eternal rewards. We who live the life of travelers in this world do not put our hope in this world of darkness. However, if possible, we must continue to create an evangelism and missionary system that will save our future generations and the world until the end of days. All rewards of devotion to evangelism and missions will be accumulated in our heavenly home. God wants everyone to reach salvation. Therefore, the purpose of life lived by each person who was sentenced to eternal punishment in hell together with Adam is the same for everyone.
1. The world that each person lives in is a place they pass through for a while in order to be saved.
Hebrews 11:38 says that the world is a place we pass through for a while, not a place we will live in forever. The place where we will live forever is one of heaven and hell, where we live forever with a resurrected body. Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:19, “If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men.” If the physical life we live in this world is the end and there were no resurrection, we would be the most miserable people of all. The suffering and dedication of the believers for the sake of evangelism and missions in this world is not in vain, for there is a reward in the eternal heavenly home called a “better resurrection.”
However, not only non-believers but also many Christians live their lives viewing the present world as their entire life. But that’s absolutely not the case. Don't be fooled. Life in this world is a probationary period before the punishment of hell—the sentence we received with Adam—given as an opportunity to be forgiven and redeemed through Christ.
2. For most people, becoming a person of Christ in the world required a big resolution.
Jesus Christ clearly and repeatedly told those who wanted to follow Him that they must give up their possessions, deny themselves, take up their cross and that they may be hated, ridiculed, persecuted, beaten by the people of the world, and even die if they follow Him. Chapter 11 of Hebrews shows the turbulent lives lived by pioneers of faith. In the days of the early church during the Roman era, for Jewish people to live as people of Christ meant being excommunicated from the Jewish community, having their property confiscated, and having to flee their hometown. This meant that they could not enter the synagogues that were essential in Jewish society, could not associate with their fellow Jews, could not buy or sell anything, and were ostracized. The Roman people of the 1st to 3rd centuries had to resolve to become Christian, for believing in Jesus Christ would mean being deprived of their citizenship and being captured and killed at any time. The confiscation of property was basic, and the choice to live as a “believer in Christ” meant that the safety of oneself and one’s family was at serious risk.
During the long 1,000-year Dark Ages, it was not possible to read the Bible; and making a resolution to only believe in and live according to the Bible meant being condemned as a witch by the Inquisition and dying. Living as a person of Christ required great sacrifice and price. Christ spoke about the value of salvation in the parable of the treasure hidden in the field and the pearl of great value, showing that it is worth the sacrifice of everything.
3. It is a foolish life to become my own master and live with hope in the world.
Believers who have accepted Christ as their Savior, become one with Christ, and have become Christ's people live in the world for a while, hoping for a better resurrection that cannot be compared to the world. Of course, non-believers will also be resurrected after living in this world. However, it is the resurrection of judgment, and it is the resurrection with a body that will suffer forever in hell but never die. In John 5:29, it says, “Those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned.” “Good will” is to believe in the covenant of Christ given by God and to live with Christ as our Lord and Savior. “Evil” is to rebel against God and live as the master of oneself, even though we were made in God’s image. Because the devil, the ruler of the world, has taken control of the world and is leading it, the only way to escape from the devil's rule is to accept Jesus Christ as one’s Lord and Savior. That is why the world and the devil are doing their best to hinder us from holding on to Jesus Christ.
Apostle Paul also clearly stated that living as a Christian would cost a great deal. Even now, in communist countries, many Muslim countries in the Middle East, various regions of Southeast Asia, and many African countries, people must pay a huge price to believe in Jesus Christ. In the future, when the era of great tribulation comes, believing in Jesus Christ may immediately require the risk of social suicide or even literal beheading. But how are we able to walk this narrow path without hesitation and determination? This is because life in this world is temporary, and there is a “better resurrection” and an eternal life in heaven’s homeland that is incomparable to physical life.
