동물농장에서 천국 낙원으로 가는 길
하나님께서 사람을 지으실 때 하나님의 형상대로 지으시고 지으신 만물을 다스리고 정복하는 하나님의 대리자로 세우셨습니다. 세상에 속한 존재가 아니라 창조주 하나님께 속하여 하나님과 함께 살도록 피조된 존재입니다. 정하신 길에서 벗어나는 것이 범죄요 멸망입니다. 기차가 기찻길을 벗어나 탈선하면 전복되는 것과 같은 원리입니다. 하나님의 영광 속에 하나님의 전권대사로 세워졌던 존재가 마귀의 거짓에 속아 탈선된 기차 꼴이 되어버린 것입니다. 이 사실을 원죄라 하며 그 벌로 아담과 함께 모든 사람이 영원한 지옥 형벌이 선고된 것입니다.
1. 인간의 죄와 벌, 그리고 사면복권의 길
탈선된 지옥행 열차에서 정해진 기간 동안 육신의 삶을 살게 된 것이 각 사람이 살게 된 세상에서의 삶입니다. 그러나 이 삶은 각 사람에게 단 한 번씩 구원받을 기회로 주어진 것입니다. 이 구원을 위해 성경은 본래 인간, 근본 문제, 유일한 구원의 길인 그리스도에 관해 알 수 있도록 하나님께서 주신 책입니다. 3대 질문과 답이 기록되어있습니다. 1) 왜 인간은 꼭 예수그리스도를 믿어야 하는가? 2) 예수그리스도 믿는다는 게 뭔가? 3) 믿으면 어떻게 되는가? 인간은 이 3대 질문에 대한 답을 얻어야 참사람이 될 수 있습니다. 이 근본에 대한 답도 못 얻은 인간들이 뭔가 큰 힘을 얻으면 세상을 자기들 중심의 동물농장으로 만들려 하며 더더욱 어렵게 만들었던 것이 세상 역사였고, 지금도 진행되고 있는 세계의 현실입니다.
2. 세상의 주된 흐름은 사면복권의 길을 막는 것입니다.
나 중심으로 사는 사람은 정욕과 쾌락의 종으로 삽니다. 하나님 없는 자는 세상이 그의 하나님이요 돈과 정욕과 쾌락이 그의 가치입니다. 죄는 이처럼 인간을 어리석고 허무한 데 빠지게 하며 자신을 소모하고 멸망시키게 합니다. 첫 언약 놓친 결과로 창조주 하나님께 순종하지 않고 반역하여 거스르는 자가 된 것입니다. 또한 마귀에게 잡힌 자요, 육신 중심에 빠져 각색 정욕과 쾌락에 종노릇 하는 자입니다. 사람들은 스스로 지혜 있다고 하지만 속아 살고 있으며, 구원받을 기회를 탕진하며 살고 있는 것입니다.
루 월레스(Lew Wallace)는 벤허(Ben-hur)를 쓴 저자입니다. 그는 미국 남북전쟁의 영웅이며 터키 대사를 지낸 바 있습니다. 월레스는 그의 친구인 무신론자 로버트 잉거 솔(Robert Ingersoll)과 기독교의 신화를 영원히 없애버릴 책을 써서 인류를 그리스도에게 매여있는 굴레로부터 벗겨주자고 다짐했습니다. 월레스는 유럽과 미국의 유명한 도서관을 돌아다니며 자료를 수집하고 깊이 연구하여 예수그리스도에 대한 성경이 허위라는 것을 주장하는 책을 쓰기 시작하였습니다. 그러나 책의 제1장을 마치고 제2장의 첫 페이지를 쓰다가 그는 도저히 부정할 수 없는 사실 앞에 무릎을 꿇고 "당신은 나의 왕, 나의 하나님"이라고 부르짖었습니다. 그 후에 쓴 책이 벤허(Ben-hur)였습니다.
3. 하나님께서 행하신 놀라운 구원 사역
하나님께서는 사람을 정해진 본능에 따라서 움직이는 존재로 창조하지 않으셨습니다. 우리에게 자유의지와 이성적인 능력을 주셔서 마음과 뜻을 다하여 창조 언약을 붙들고 하나님의 사랑 안에 거할 수도 있고, 하나님이 금하신 선악과 따먹을 수 있는 자유까지 주셨습니다. 하나님께서는 우리가 첫 언약 붙들고 영원토록 하나님을 사랑하고 섬기며 함께하기를 원하셨습니다. 하지만 첫 사람 아담과 함께 모든 인간은 하나님의 언약을 믿지 않고 사탄의 거짓을 붙들고 선악과 따먹고 멸망 속으로 빠지고 말았습니다. 멸망 상태 속에서 태어나 사는 사람들은 이 문제의 근본 원인이 뭔지도 모르는 채, 문제를 해결하기 위하여 철학, 교육, 과학, 종교 등에서 그 답을 찾으려고 노력하였습니다. 하지만 근본 문제인 죄의 문제를 해결하지 않고서는 이 세상의 어떤 문제도 해결할 수 없습니다.
그래서 하나님께서는 새 언약인 그리스도를 통해 우리를 부르사 하나님의 영원한 상속자로 삼으셨습니다. 예수그리스도를 구주로 영접하고 구원받은 사람은 하나님의 나라를 상속받을 상속자입니다. "내 아버지께 복 받을 자들이여 나아와 창세로부터 너희를 위하여 예비된 나라를 상속받으라"고 마태복음 25:34절은 말씀하고 있습니다. 구원받은 성도는 "영생의 소망을 따라 된 하나님의 상속자"입니다. 죄인이 된 상태에서 동물농장에서 살고 있던 우리가 하나님의 은혜로 의롭게 되어 하나님의 자녀가 되고, 하나님의 상속자가 된 것은 엄청난 축복입니다. 그런데 그 위에 세상에 머무는 동안 하나님께서 기뻐하시는 선한 일을 할 수 있도록 일꾼으로 세워주시고 영원한 면류관을 상급으로 예비하셨습니다. 그러므로 구원받은 사람은 당연히 하나님의 은혜에 감사하는 삶을 살게 됩니다. 그러면서 주의 성령의 인도받아 동물농장에서 종노릇 하는 사람들을 천국 낙원의 상속자로 인도하는 일에 열심인 삶이 누려지게 될 것입니다. 이것이 잠시 세상을 살고있는 우리가 가져야 할 아름다운 소망입니다.

The Road From Animal Farm to Paradise in Heaven
When God created mankind, He created them in God's image and appointed them as God's representative to rule and conquer all things He had created. We are not beings that belong to the world, but rather belong to God the Creator and were created to live with God. Deviating from the appointed path is a crime and destruction. It's the same principle that causes a train to overturn if it goes off the track and derails. The being who was established as God's plenipotentiary ambassador in the glory of God was deceived by the devil's lies and became like a derailed train. This fact is called original sin, and as punishment, all people, along with Adam, were sentenced to eternal punishment in hell.
1. Human sin and punishment, and the path to pardon and restoration
Each person's life in the world is a physical life for a set period of time on a derailed train to hell. However, this life is given to each person as the one opportunity to be saved. For this salvation, the Bible is a book given by God to help us learn about the original human being, the fundamental problem, and Christ—the only way to salvation. Three major questions and answers are recorded. 1) Why must humans believe in Jesus Christ? 2) What does it mean to believe in Jesus Christ? 3) What happens if you believe? A person can become a true person only when he or she finds answers to these three major questions. The history of the world was that when humans, who could not even find the answer to this fundamental question, gained great power, they tried to turn the world into an animal farm centered on themselves, making it even more difficult; and this is the reality of the world that is still going on.
2. The main trend of the world is blocking the path to pardon and restoration.
People who live centered on themselves live as servants of lust and pleasure. For a person without God, the world is his god; and money, lust, and pleasure are his values. In this way, sin causes humans to fall into foolishness and futility, consume themselves, and destroy themselves. As a result of missing the first covenant, we did not obey God the Creator and became rebelling traitors. They are also those who have been captured by the devil, who are obsessed with the flesh and are enslaved to various lusts and pleasures. People say they are wise, but they are living deceived and wasting their opportunity to be saved.
Lew Wallace is the author of Ben-hur. He was a hero of the American Civil War and served as ambassador to Türkiye. Wallace and his friend, the atheist Robert Ingersoll, pledged to free humanity from its bondage to Christ by writing a book that would destroy the Christian myth forever. Wallace traveled to famous libraries in Europe and the United States, collected materials, conducted in-depth research, and began writing a book arguing that the Bible about Jesus Christ was false. However, after finishing Chapter 1 of the book and writing the first page of Chapter 2, he knelt before the undeniable fact and cried out, “You are my King and my God.” The book he wrote after that was Ben-hur.
3. God’s amazing work of salvation
God did not create humans as beings who move according to set instincts. By giving us free will and rational ability, He has given us the freedom to hold on to the covenant of creation with all our heart and mind and to live in God's love, and also the freedom to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that God had forbidden. God wanted us to hold on to the first covenant and love and serve God and be together for eternity. However, along with the first man, Adam, all humans did not believe in God's covenant, but instead held on to Satan's lies, ate the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, and fell into destruction. People born and living in a state of destruction tried to find answers in philosophy, education, science, religion, etc. to solve the problem, without knowing what the root cause of this problem was. However, no problem in this world can be solved without solving the fundamental problem, the problem of sin.
So God called us through Christ, the new covenant, and made us His eternal heirs. Those who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and are saved are heirs who will inherit the kingdom of God. Matthew 25:34 says, “Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.” The saved saints are “God’s heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” It is a tremendous blessing that we, who were sinners living on animal farms, have been justified by God's grace and have become God's children and God's heirs. Furthermore, during our stay in this world, God raised us up as workers so that we could do good works that are pleasing to him, and prepared us with an eternal crown as a reward. Therefore, those who are saved naturally live a life of gratitude for God's grace. At the same time, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit of the Lord, you will enjoy a life devoted to leading those who are slaves on animal farms to become heirs of paradise. This is a beautiful hope that we who live in this world for a while must have.
