Exodus 8.

Moses and Aaron Stand Before the King of Egypt (Exodus 5:1-23)

A scene of a confrontation between Moses, the leader of Israel, and Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, appears in today's text.

Moses was a man called by Jehovah God. On the other hand, King Pharaoh does not know Jehovah God.

Moses is a shepherd who relies on a single staff. However, the King is an absolute monarch with the greatest power of his time.

So, when Moses says that Jehovah God is telling him to let my people go, King Pharaoh yells at him.

The question is, who is Jehovah God? He shouted at them, saying that he was Pharaoh, the son of the sun god,

the greatest god, and that the Hebrews were Egyptian slaves.

1. God says to Pharaoh, “Let my people go.”

1) Evangelists today also give the same command to the kings of the world.

2) This was like declaring war against Pharaoh, the king of Egypt.

3) The devil, the king of the world, is a being with abilities superior to us in all aspects.

4) As individuals, we cannot be Satan’s enemies.

2. Pharaoh’s reaction upon hearing God’s will from Moses

1) Instead of opening his heart, Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, made the situation worse.

2) We do not fight the spiritual battle, but God does it through us.

3) Even though we set out as an evangelist, we sometimes complain to God or become discouraged.

4) The worsening situation due to Pharaoh is a process of progress.

3. Whatever the situation, you must leave it to God and pray.

1) Pharaoh wants to create a wedge between Moses, the leader, and the people.

2) The devil, the king of the world, prevents believers from only Jesus, only evangelism.

3) Saints must avoid falling into this deception of Satan.

4) Believers must love each other and unite the church.

Conclusion: Exodus is the way of salvation revealed to Egypt and Israel

1) Salvation is knowing Jehovah God through Christ.

2) Moses declared that Jehovah God is the only God.

3) He reprimands Pharaoh, saying, “You are taking what belongs to God as if it were your own.”

4) Why didn’t God make the Exodus happen all at once?

Israel's Exodus and 40 years of training in the wilderness were to worship God. Man's true freedom is achieved through

worship to God. We worship and become free from the things that bind us in the world. Worship is letting go of everything

that was my idol and enjoying it while confessing that the only one I need to hold on to is God. So Moses and Aaron also

stood in front of Pharaoh and said that we must go to worship. ‘Then is it not possible to worship in Egypt?

‘Why do they have to go to the wilderness to worship?’ Egypt is a land ruled by the king of Egypt. So there, you cannot

serve the king of Egypt and serve God at the same time. You must choose between the king of Egypt and Jehovah God.

God called us to church to help us focus only on God.

Our master is not worldly money, power, greed, or worldly pleasures. Our master is only God.

I pray that you will be preciously used as a co-worker of God to bring the bound neighbors out of Egypt.
