Exodus 19.

See the Way God Opens for You (Exodus 14:15-31)

In 1492, Spanish explorer Christopher Columbus discovered the new continent of America. Originally, he did not go to discover

the New World, but to find a shortcut to India. However, God led him to a completely different and much better path than

he thought. Isaiah 43:16 says, “This is what the LORD says: ‘I will make a way through the sea and a shortcut through

the mighty waters.’” Here, “sea” and “big water” refer to the Red Sea, which blocked the path of the Israelites a long time ago.

This is a barrier that we as humans cannot possibly overcome. But God made a way in the middle of the sea.

The level that God sees and the level that we see are astronomically different.

1. God’s people trapped before the Red Sea

1) In verses 1-2, God commanded Israel to change its course.

2) God knew that Pharaoh would be angry and pursue them.

3) God had a different plan set.

4) Egypt was caught in a trap created by God.

2. God’s people despairing of the reality before their eyes (10-14)

1) Two million people wailed as they saw Pharaoh’s army chasing after them.

2) God’s first purpose was “so that you may know that I am Jehovah (verses 4, 17, 18).”

3) The second was to help them learn to trust only in God.

4) Third was so that God may receive glory through this.

3. God divided the sea and made a road for people to cross.

1) Jehovah was carrying out what he had told Moses in advance.

2) The core of the miracle of the Red Sea lies in “I will gain glory (v. 17, 18).”

3) We must obtain answers to the crisis and suffering of believers through the miracle of the Red Sea.

4) Everything about the believers is an opportunity to reveal the glory of God.

Conclusion: All the people feared the Lord and believed in Moses.

1) Verses 21-22

2) 1 Corinthians 10:1-2

3) The Pharaoh, who symbolizes the king of the world, chased after the Israelites up until the Red Sea.

4) 1 Peter 3:21. Baptism is a sign that one has been saved.

God foretold the events at the Red Sea to Moses in advance in verses 1-4 of today’s passage.

Isaiah 55:8-9 says, “’For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the LORD.

‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.’”

Therefore, when we look at life, we must look at it from God's perspective, not from our own perspective.

So, when you pray, if you keep making a specific request, “God, please do this for me,” it is a child’s prayer.

If you hold on to today's word and meditate on it, today's prayer topic will appear.

Hold on to today’s word and ask, “What is God’s will in this situation?”

Please pray, “Please let me see this through God’s eyes and discover the path that God wants;” and through that,

I hope you will live a life that glorifies God. No matter what crisis or hardship you face, I pray in the name of the Lord

that you will not be deceived and that your life will be a life filled with glory to God and full of joy and gratitude for us.
