Exodus 22.

The Rock Symbolizing Christ (Exodus 17:1-7)

The Israelites who came out of Egypt with the blood of the Passover lamb experienced the miracle of crossing the Red Sea

on dry land through Moses' prayer. Entering the wilderness, they also experienced the secret of the tree (the cross) that turns

the bitter water of Mara into sweet water. However, when they passed through Elim and reached the Desert of Sin,

they ran out of food and were filled with resentment. At this time, through the prayer of Moses, the man of God,

manna and quail were provided as daily food, and as God's people (army), they were given the basic rules to live

by eating the word of God as spiritual food. Finally, following God's guidance, they arrived at Rephidim while traveling

in the wilderness.

Another problem arose here. There was no water to drink.

1. Basic training for training the army of Jehovah after the Exodus.

1) When God’s people encounter problems, they must pray and receive answers and guidance.

2) Even on the morning that they said they would die of thirst, they gathered manna and ate it.

3) These are the people who escaped from Egypt and crossed the Red Sea on dry land.

4) Perhaps they began to worry about food when they stayed in Elim.

2. Moses’ prayer for the Me-centered army of Jehovah.

1) Israel, unable to find water upon reaching Rephidim, once again grumbles and complains (verses 1-3).

2) In this way, their true faces were revealed in the face of the problem of survival.

3) These were people who still lived me-centered

4) Here we realize one important fact about prayer.

3. Water comes from the rock which symbolize Christ and feeds them.

1) Moses prayed, and God answered.

2) In verse 6, we must pay attention to the words that God will stand before Moses.

3) God tells Moses to strike the rock on which He stands.

4) As a result of the rock being ‘Hickita’=struck, living water burst forth like a river.

Conclusion: Christ solves all of life's problems

1) When Jesus, the rock, suffered the ‘Hickita=strike’, living water poured out.

2) John 7:37 says, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.”

3) Drinking and sharing the living water poured out by the Lord is what we must do.

4) The stigma of Massah and Meribah is the reality of our human beings who have left God.

Because of Moses, the mediator who upheld the covenant, the entire Israelite people, numbering over 2 million,

were saved from destruction. God sent us the mediator Jesus. Just as Moses interceded between the Israelites and God,

Jesus also intercedes between us and God. This is Romans 8:34. “Who is he that condemns?

Christ Jesus, who died--more than that, who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.”

Even now, Jesus prays for us. Therefore, as people of Christ, we must pray for our family, church, and country.

When I pray, the evangelism field entrusted to me, the church, and the country also revive.

God never abandons the person who prays and the community to which he or she belongs.

God will definitely answer when we cry out to him. Jeremiah 33:3 promises, “Call to me, and I will answer you,

and show you great and mighty things that you do not know.”

I pray in the name of the Lord that you will hold on to the word God gives you and enjoy 3 todays

and enjoy the blessings of an evangelist.
