Exodus 25.

The Mount Sinai Covenant, the Core of the Old Testament (Exodus 19:1~25)

In the passage, approximately 50 days have passed since the Israelites were liberated from Egypt and left Egypt.

Finally, God led them to Mount Sinai, where he had previously called Moses. Upon arriving at the Sinai Desert,

Israel pitched their tent in front of Mount Sinai and stayed there for 11 months.

Everything from Exodus 19:1 to Numbers 10:10 is fulfilled here. Some theologians say that the Sinai Covenant is

a marriage covenant. This is because it is similar to moving forward into a more serious and deeper relationship

through a marriage ceremony between lovers who have already loved each other and made a promise.

God establishes Israel as a nation of priests who will save the world through the covenant at Mount Sinai.

1. The Mt. Sinai Covenant that established Israel as a nation of priests

1) First, God talks about what He has done for Israel in verses 3-6.

2) A priest is a person who acts as a bridge between God and the world.

3) Moses serves as a bridge between God and Israel.

4) God treats us not as slaves but as the bride of Christ.

2. The core of the Mt. Sinai Covenant is the betrothal (engagement) ceremony with Christ.

1) Verse 5 declares that the owner of all things in the universe is God the Creator.

2) The God who called us is the creator of the universe and the only God.

3) The Mount Sinai Covenant can be said to be the betrothal ceremony with Christ.

4) God wants to set apart Israel to spread the gospel.

3. The purpose for which God distinguished and called Israel.

1) Verses 5-6 are key verses of the Old Testament.

2) God established the Christ Covenant, which is the only way to salvation.

3) The core of the Sinai Covenant was the Ten Commandments, which, when expanded, were the Five Books of Moses and the Old Testament.

4) Through Israel, Jesus Christ became incarnate and completed the work of salvation.

Conclusion: God, who gave the covenant, uses people who hold to the covenant.

1) The world does not know or acknowledge God’s creation and the covenant of Christ.

2) Even now, we must know well who God is looking for.

3) The mission of lineage Israel was completed with the atonement death of Jesus.

4) The Lord does not forcefully kick in the door of our hearts (Revelation 3:20).

At Mount Sinai, the Israelites received the Law containing the specific contents of the covenant.

There, they also built a tabernacle to offer sacrifices to God. He then had them train in the wilderness to prepare

for entering Canaan. By making trumpets, they decided on marching and stopping signals, and also organized

the marching order of the 12 tribes and where to place the tents for each tribe when staying in the wilderness.

The total time it took to do these various things was 11 months.

Nowadays, most people in the world are living deceived by the devil without knowing either God or the covenant of Christ.

I am asking you, spiritual Israelites, to act as a bridge so that they can be saved and return to God.

Since you have been appointed as the people of 1 Peter 2:9, you are to enable all the nations of the world to be blessed.

The path where people become their own master and live bound by fate is the path to eternal hell.

The task of leading them to the path of salvation is entrusted to us, as people of Christ.

I hope you complete the covenant at Mount Sinai and follow the path of following the Lord,

carrying the victorious banner of the Lord.

I pray in the name of the Lord that we all become people of faith who are used to lead many people to the path of salvation.
