Exodus 32

Set up the Tabernacle According to the Word (Exodus 26:30-37)

The fundamental problem of humanity is that after everyone committed sin along with Adam, everyone was sentenced

to eternal punishment in hell. However, God established the Christ Covenant through which people can receive pardon

and restoration (Genesis 3:15). From Adam until the age of the patriarchs, God allowed people to hold on to and enjoy

the covenant of Christ through stone altars and blood sacrifices. After the Exodus of Israel, God made the tabernacle

as a type of Christ and received blood sacrifices and worship through the tabernacle. The first half of the Book of Exodus,

consisting of 40 chapters, chapters 1 to 24, testifies to the story of Israel's Exodus and the law they received on Mount Sinai.

And later in chapters 25-40, it testifies about the tabernacle and its components. God himself incarnated as the Christ,

who was symbolized by the blood sacrifice, tabernacle, and temple. By being crucified and dying,

He offered the forever blood sacrifice once and for all, and the Holy of Holies on earth was transformed into

the throne of heaven.

1. Words about the curtains that cover the tabernacle (verses 1-14)

1) In the Bible, the ‘tabernacle’ was also called a tent, a tent of testimony, or a tent of meeting.

2) This tabernacle had the ‘Holy Place’ and the ‘Holy of Holies.’

3) Verses 1-14 testify about the curtain (covering) of the tabernacle.

4) The third covering was to be made from ram skin, and the fourth covering was to be made from hides of sea cows (otters).

2. The pillars and frames of the tabernacle (verses 15-30)

1) Pillars and frames that create the space of the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies.

2) All frames and crossbars of acacia wood are to be covered with gold.

3) When building this tabernacle, God told them to build it as He showed them.

4) Although the acacia tree is strong, it is an unattractive tree.

3. The inner curtain of the tabernacle and the curtain at the entrance (verses 31-37)

1) The interior curtain was a thick curtain that separated the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.

2) The reason why the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place were separated by a curtain.

3) This curtain was opened the moment Jesus died on the cross.

4) Hebrews 10:19-20

Conclusion: The tabernacle for God to meet us

1) Salvation is being restored to the image of God.

2) God meets us through the tabernacle (Christ).

3) Jesus offered his body as a peace offering.

4) Eve held on to the Word of God lightly and fell into destruction.

The tabernacle can be said to have a shape reminiscent of the church, a Christian community.

Each believer becomes component that builds the temple where the Holy Trinity dwells.

That is why we connect with each other and build one holy church community.

Through this, I want to examine through the Word what our lives should be as we become the temple of God today.

We have become believers who walk with God by faith and follow Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

I hope that you will always hold on to the Word that God gives through the church pulpit, enjoy God's love,

and become people who spread His grace. We have been saved by God's great grace and have become people of Jesus Christ

and children of God.

I bless you in the name of the Lord Jesus: may you enjoy and spread this grace and love to your heart’s content.
