운명에서 벗어난 자의 인생 고백
저는 어릴 적부터 어른들과 주변 환경에 눌려 주눅이 든 상태에서 자랐었고, 청년의 시기까지 저의 마음 안에는 내 나름의 철학을 하며 끊임없이 뭔가에 대한 불안한 상태 속에서 살았었습니다. 평안함을 추구하지만, 항상 뭔가에 쫓기며 초조한 상태가 지속되며 우울함에 묶여갔습니다. 열심을 다해 작은 목표를 달성하면 약간의 성취감을 맛볼 수도 있었으나 그것도 잠시일 뿐 새로운 불안이 가중될 따름이었습니다. 산전수전 겪으며 수많은 실패에 묶여가며 아내까지 극심한 고생을 시키던 중 어린 딸 아이를 교통사고로 잃게 되었습니다. 절망 속에 빠져 낙심 상태에 있는 저에게 동생 목사님이 성경 욥기 1장 21절 “가로되 내가 모태에서 적신이 나왔사온즉 또한 적신이 그리로 돌아가올지라 주신 자도 여호와시요 취하신 자도 여호와시오니 여호와의 이름이 찬송을 받으실찌니이다” 라는 말씀을 전해 줬습니다. 만유(萬有)의 주인이신 하나님 앞에 서게 되었습니다. 그때 이후 성경을 붙들고 교회를 통해 인생의 답을 찾게 되었습니다.
1. 인간의 근본 문제와 유일한 해답이 뭔지 알게 되었습니다.
철학은 나에게서 출발하지만, 신앙은 하나님에게서 내려오더군요. 나를 찾고자 하는 인생철학은 자신의 한계에 묶입니다. 철학은 계속 질문하며 다른 분들의 답을 참고하지만, 더더욱 헷갈렸는데, 성경을 통한 신학은 기록된 성경과 가르쳐주는 스승과 깨닫게 하시는 성령님으로 인하여 점점 더 확실해졌습니다. 창조주 하나님께서 창조하신 대자연과 본래 인간, 하나님께 반역한 인간과 흑암 세상의 도래, 그리스도를 통해 구원하시겠다는 하나님의 그리스도 언약이 전체 성경의 내용임을 알게 되었습니다. 내가 나의 주인되어 살았던 것을 회개하고 그리스도 예수님을 구주로 모시고 난 후부터 흑암 혼돈 공허에서 점점 벗어날 수 있게 되었습니다. 그후로 그리스도와 하나 된 영원한 생명과 천국 본향의 산 소망을 붙들고 누리며 전할 수 있게 되었습니다. 비로소 나 자신은 하나님의 축복을 유업으로 받고 누리며 나누기 위하여 부르심을 받은 사람임을 알게 된 것입니다. 그리하여 자신이 받은 복을 누리며 주변 사람들이 하나님의 은혜를 받을 수 있도록 복음을 전달하는 통로가 되고자 선교사로 파송 받게 된 것입니다.
2. 크리스챤의 기본은 주님과 하나 된 선한 마음을 갖는 것입니다.
믿는 우리도 이 세상에 살면서 자칫하면 주님과 하나 되지 못하게 되는 무수한 상황과 사건을 만나게 되지만 거기에 속아 나 중심 상태로 빠지게 되면 흑암에 잡힙니다. 그러나 언제 어느 때든지 주님과 하나 됨을 누리고 있으면 그 어떤 사람도 이해하고 용서하며 초월할 수 있는 능력이 임하게 됩니다. 예수께서 요한복음 15:5절에 “나는 포도나무요 너희는 가지니 저가 내 안에, 내가 저 안에 있으면 이 사람은 과실을 많이 맺나니 나를 떠나서는 너희가 아무것도 할 수 없음이라” 하셨습니다. 주 예수 그리스도와 하나 되어 있는 게 선한 마음입니다. 그러나 내가 나의 주인 된 상태에 있는 것은 악한 마음이요 무조건 마귀에게 잡힙니다. 포도나무에 붙어있지 않은 가지는 아무 데도 쓸모가 없음과 마찬가지입니다.
이 기본이 되어 있지 않으면 지역 교회들끼리도 연합하지 못하며, 교회 안에 교인들끼리도 서로 가까워지지 못합니다. 성도는 세상 사람도 사랑해야 하지만 무엇보다 내 곁의 형제 자매들을 더욱 사랑해야 합니다. 교회 안의 아직 어린 형제자매들을 사랑하고 돕는 것은 아버지 하나님의 가장 관심 있는 사역입니다. 이처럼 남을 나보다 낫게 여기며 이웃을 내 몸과 같이 사랑하는 것이 참사랑이요 겸손한 삶입니다.
3. 선한 마음은 선한 입술의 열매로 나타납니다.
나 중심으로 세상에 속한 사람들은 그 본성이 악을 악으로, 욕을 욕으로 갚게 되어 있습니다. 그러나 주 예수그리스도를 구주로 모신 우리는 본성이 그리스도의 사람으로 바뀌었습니다. 어떤 상황에서든 주변 모든 이들의 복을 빌어주는 사람이 된 것입니다. 믿는 우리는 복의 근원으로 부름을 받았고, 주변 모든 이들을 축복하는 자로 부르심을 받은 것입니다. 원수라 할지라도 그를 미워하면 누구보다 미워하는 자신이 먼저 미움에 묶여 마귀에게 속게 되고 질병마저 걸리게 됩니다. 그러나 원수를 축복하면 흑암 세력이 결박되고 누구보다 자신에게 평안과 자유함이 임하게 되며 육신의 건강도 오게 됩니다.
내가 나의 주인 된 마음에서 죄가 생산됩니다. 그 죄는 입술을 통해서 말로 표출되기도 하고, 행동을 통해 행위로 드러나기도 합니다. 분노라는 마음의 죄가 입을 통해 폭언이 되고, 행동을 통해 폭행이 되는 것입니다. 내가 나의 주인 된 상태에서 표출된 말과 행동은 대부분 마귀의 일에 쓰임 받습니다. 그래서 성경은 악에서 떠나 선을 행하고 화평을 구하며 그것을 따르라고 하신 것입니다. 운명에서 벗어나 그리스도인으로 사는 사람들은 앞으로 언제 어디서든 사탄을 발 앞에 무릎 꿇게 만드는 삶을 사시기 바랍니다(로마서 16:20).
다툼이 일어날 요인이 보이면 모든 것 양보하고 주님께 맡기면(기도하면) 마귀와 악령들이 무릎 꿇게 됩니다. 욥이 그 많은 재산 다 잃고, 열 자식들마저 다 죽어버렸을 때 고발했던 사탄은 기회를 노리고 있었습니다. 이때 욥은 “주신 이도 여호와시요, 거두신 이도 여호와시오니 여호와의 이름이 찬송을 받으실지니이다”라고 기도하며 하나님을 향해 원망하지 않았습니다. 이때 사탄이 무릎 꿇게 된 것입니다. 저희의 딸 아이를 차에 치여 죽게 만들고도 배 째라며 나 몰라라 하는 상황 속에서 저희도 욥의 고백을 함께 붙들면서 흑암 세력을 이길 수 있었고 선교사의 길로 들어서게 되었습니다. 주변의 사람에게 복 주는 사람이 되기 위해서는 누구를 향하든 먼저 따뜻한 마음을 갖는 게 전도자의 마음입니다.

Life Confession of Someone Who Escaped Destiny
From childhood, I was weighed down by the authority of adults and the constraints of my environment, and throughout my youth, I battled persistent anxiety, clinging to my own personal philosophy without finding relief. I pursued peace, but I was always chased by something, and a state of anxiety continued, and I was bound by depression. If I achieved a small goal with all my efforts, I could taste a bit of accomplishment, but that was only temporary, and new anxiety only increased. After enduring countless hardships and failures, even causing my wife immense suffering, I tragically lost my young daughter in a car accident. In my despair and discouragement, my younger brother, a pastor, shared with me Job 1:21 from the Bible: "‘Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.’" It was then that I came face to face with God, the Lord of all creation. From that moment on, I clung to the Bible and found the answers to my life through the church.
1. I Came to Know the Fundamental Problem of Human Beings and the Only Answer.
Philosophy starts from me, but faith comes down from God. A philosophy of life focused on finding oneself is ultimately limited by one's own perspective. While philosophy constantly questions and considers the answers of others, it only led to more confusion. In contrast, theology based on the Bible, guided by a teacher and illuminated by the Holy Spirit, became increasingly clear and certain. I came to know that the entire Bible is about the creation of the universe and original human beings by God the Creator, human rebellion against God and the advent of the world of darkness, and God's Christ Covenant to save us through Christ. After repenting the life of living as my own master and accepting Christ Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I was able to gradually escape from the darkness, chaos, and emptiness. After that, I was able to hold onto, enjoy, and proclaim the living hope of eternal life united with Christ and our heavenly home. I finally realized that I myself was a person called to receive, enjoy, and share God's blessing as an inheritance. As a result, I was called to be a missionary, with a deep desire to share the blessings I had received and to be a channel through which others could encounter God's grace and experience His transformative power.
2. The Basis of a Christian is to Have a Good Heart United with the Lord.
Even as believers, we inevitably face countless situations and events in this world that threaten our unity with the Lord. If we are deceived by these things and become self-centered, we are ensnared by darkness. However, when we consistently experience union with the Lord, we receive the power to understand, forgive, and rise above any person or circumstance. Jesus said in John 15:5, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." Being one with Lord Jesus Christ is having a good heart. But being in a state where I am my own master is having an evil heart and undoubtedly caught by the devil. A branch that is not attached to the vine is completely useless.
If this foundation is not in place, local churches cannot unite with each other, and even members in the church cannot get close to each other. Saints must love the people of the world, but above all, they must love their brothers and sisters beside them even more. Caring for and assisting the young and spiritually immature members of the church is at the very heart of Father God's ministry. Like this, considering others better than myself and loving my neighbor as myself is true love and a humble life.
3. A Good Heart Bears the Fruit of Gracious Lips.
People who belong to the world centered on themselves are by their nature bound to repay evil with evil and curses with curses. But we who have accepted Lord Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior have had our nature changed into people of Christ. We have become people who bless everyone around us in any situation. We who believe have been called as the source of blessing and have been called to bless everyone around us. If you harbor hatred for someone, even if he’s an enemy, you, the hater, are the first to be bound by that hatred, deceived by the devil, and even become ill. But when you bless your enemy, the powers of darkness are broken, and you, above all others, experience peace, freedom, and even physical healing. Sin is produced from the heart where I am my own master. That sin is expressed in words through the lips, and it is also revealed in actions. The sin of anger in the heart becomes abusive language through the mouth, and becomes violence through actions. Words and actions expressed in a state where I am my own master are mostly used for the work of the devil. That is why the Bible tells us to turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. May those who have escaped their former destiny and now live as Christians lead lives that put Satan under their feet, always and everywhere (Romans 16:20).
If you see a factor that causes conflict, give up everything and entrust it to Lord (pray), then the devil and evil spirits will kneel. After Job had lost all his wealth and his ten children had died, Satan, who had been accusing him, was watching for his chance. At this time, Job prayed, "The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised," and did not complain to God. That is when Satan was brought to his knees. Even though those responsible for our daughter's death in the car accident refused to take responsibility and showed no remorse, we were able to overcome the forces of darkness by clinging to Job's confession, and we embarked on the path of becoming missionaries. The heart of an evangelist is one of warmth and compassion towards all people, for it is from this place that they can become a blessing to those around them.
