새해에 우리를 위한 하나님의 특별한 목적
얼마 전 미국에서 총기를 난사한 살인사건이 발생하였습니다. 이때 이 살인범에게 인질로 잡혀 있다가 그 살인범을 감화시켜 자수하게 만든 애슐리 스미스라는 여인이 있었습니다. 그 가냘픈 여인이 어떻게 그 포학한 살인범을 자수시킬 수 있었을까요? 살인범에게 던진 한마디가 살인범의 가슴에 총알처럼 박혔습니다. “당신의 삶에는 하나님의 특별한 목적이 있습니다. 이제 목적이 이끄는 삶을 사십시오. 하나님께서 당신도 귀하게 쓰시기를 원하십니다.” 살인범이 이 말에 자극을 받고 자수를 했습니다. 새해를 맞아 모든 분들에게 드리고 싶은 말이 있습니다. “당신의 삶에도 하나님의 특별한 목적이 있습니다. 이제부터 목적이 이끄는 삶을 사십시오.”
1. 지금 전 세계의 정세는 급변하고 있습니다.
악의 축으로 이컬어지는 중공, 러시아, 이란, 북한이 흔들리고 있습니다. 이들과 한 통속되어 마약과 부정선거 카르텔로 지목된 베네스웰라 대통령 부부가 현지에서 생포되어 미국으로 끌려가 재판을 받고 있습니다. 현재 전 지구의 문제는 4년째 지속되고 있는 러우전쟁, 이란 사태등의 소용돌이 속에 미중 문역전쟁은 점점 치열해지며 북한 문제도 언제 터질지 모르는 화산으로 떠 오르고 있습니다. 이런 상황 속에서 가장 정신 차리고 하나님의 특별한 목적에 방향 맞춰야 할 대한민국의 주사파 정부는 어디에 방향을 두고 가는지 갈팡질팡하고 있는 것 같아 안타까움이 많습니다. 이런 시대에 우리는 성경을 통해 우리보다 더 최악의 상황에 있었던 초대교회는 어떻게 해서 당대의 유대교와 헬라 문화, 로마를 이기고 세계를 살릴 수 있었는가를 살펴볼 필요가 있습니다.
2. 가장 먼저 “나는 누구인가?”를 확인할 필요가 있습니다.
아직도 운명에 잡힌 상태에서 ‘나’가 나의 주인 되어 살고 있다면 속히 주변 교회나 전도자를 통해 예수그리스도 앞에 나아가 나부터 구원받아 새 생명 얻어야 합니다. 예수그리스도를 구주로 영접하여 구원받아 새 생명 얻었다면 이제는 절대로 양다리(내 이름과 예수그리스도의 이름) 걸치지 말고 오직 주 예수그리스도만을 구주로 모시고 주님의 이름으로만 살아야 합니다. 사람이 가장 중시 여겨야 할 것이 창세기 1장 1절인데 하나님이 창조주시오 영원한 주인이시라는 사실입니다. 에덴동산 중앙에 세워진 첫 언약(선악과)은 하나님이 주인이시라는 사실만 잘 알고 붙들면 영원토록 하나님의 대사(하나님의 형상)로서 하나님의 영광 속에 하나님의 일을 감당하는 최고의 존재로서의 축복을 누리게 하실 언약이었습니다. 그러나 아담과 함께 모든 인간이 마귀의 거짓을 붙들고 하나님의 창조 언약을 깨버리면서 하나님께 반역하게 된 것입니다. 반역의 결과 모든 사람이 각자 자신의 주인이 된 상태에서 영원한 지옥형벌을 선고받고 마귀의 종으로 전락되어 버렸습니다. 이를 원죄라 하며 세상 용어로는 운명이라 합니다.
3. 창조질서가 깨져버린 세상에 재창조의 언약이 세워졌습니다.
하나님는 멸망속에 빠져버린 인간을 사랑하사 동정녀를 통해 오실 그리스도를 통하여 우리를 구원하시겠다는 새 언약을 세워주셨습니다(창세기 3:15). 아담 안에 피조된 모든 각 사람은 각기에게 정해진 시대와 지역에서 지옥형벌의 집행 유예 기간을 단 한 번의 육신의 삶으로 살게 됩니다. 이 기간이 바로 선고된 영원한 지옥형벌을 사면받아 하나님의 자녀로 복권될 유일무이한 기회가 되는 것입니다. 그렇다면 인생을 살면서 가장 먼저 해야 할 일은 내게 오셔서 마음의 문을 두드리시는 예수그리스도의 음성을 듣고 그분을 나 자신의 주님으로 영접하는 일입니다(계시록 3:20⟶요한복음 1:12). 그러면 사면복권받아 하나님의 자녀가되는 신분과 권세를 받습니다. 구원의 방주이신 예수그리스도 안으로 들어오신 분들은 절대로 들락날락하지 마시고 그리스도 안에 굳게 서서 말씀의 젖을 먹으며 성장해야 합니다. 그리스도 안에서 성장하여 어린아이 상태를 넘어서면 새로운 자신의 신분과 권세가 누려지는 것입니다. 성 삼위 하나님이 나와 함께 하시는 신분입니다. 이 신분이 누려지면 내 것이 필요 없을 정도로 하나님이 나를 통해 역사하시는 것입니다. 왜냐하면 내가 가진 것보다 하나님이 주시는 게 훨씬 더 큰 것이기 때문이지요. 이 신분에 따라서 권세가 나타나는 것입니다. 새 신자인 어린아이 상태에서 걸음마를 시작한 성도들은 절대로 걱정 안 하셔도 되는 확고한 배경이 세워져 있습니다. 이 배경이 하늘 보좌이기 때문에 성도들 가는 곳마다 천군 천사가 동원되는 어마어마한 일이 벌어집니다. 영적인 것을 아는 사람은 이 부분에 집중하며 천사들의 수종을 받을 수 있습니다(히브리서 1:14).

God's Special Purpose for Us in the New Year
A while ago, a shooting incident occurred in the United States. At that time, there was a woman named Ashley Smith who was held hostage by the murderer and influenced him to surrender. How could that fragile woman make such a brutal murderer surrender? A single phrase she spoke to the murderer struck his heart like a bullet: “Your life has a special purpose from God. Now, live a purpose-driven life. God desires to use you preciously.” The murderer was prompted by these words and surrendered. As the New Year begins, there is something I want to say to everyone: “Your life also has a special purpose from God. From now on, live a purpose-driven life.”
1. The global situation is rapidly changing right now.
The countries often referred to as the axis of evil—China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea—are wavering. The Venezuelan presidential couple, who were allied with them and implicated in a drug and election fraud cartel, were captured on-site and taken to the United States to face trial. Currently, global issues are spiraling amidst the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, which has lasted for four years, and the situation in Iran, while the US-China trade war is gradually intensifying, and the North Korean issue is emerging as a volcano that could erupt at any time. In such a situation, it is regrettable that the Juche-leaning government of South Korea, which should be most alert and align itself with God's special purpose, seems to be floundering, unsure of its direction. In such an era, through the Bible, we need to examine how the early church, which was in a worse situation than us, was able to overcome the Judaism, Hellenistic culture, and Rome of its time and save the world.
2. First and foremost, it is necessary to ascertain "Who am I?"
If you are still living with “you” as your own master, caught in destiny, you must quickly go before Jesus Christ through a nearby church or evangelist, and be saved first to gain new life. If you have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and gained new life, you must never waver (between your name and the name of Jesus Christ) but only honor the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and live only in the Lord's name. What a person should value most is Genesis 1:1, the fact that God is the Creator and the eternal Lord. The first covenant established in the center of the Garden of Eden (the tree of the knowledge of good and evil) was a promise that if one only knew well and held onto the fact that God is the Lord, they would eternally enjoy the blessing of being the greatest being, serving God's work as God's ambassador (God's image) in God's glory. However, along with Adam, all humanity rebelled against God by clinging to the devil's lie and breaking God's creation covenant. As a result of this rebellion, all people, in a state where each became their own master, were sentenced to eternal hellfire and fell into bondage to the devil. This is called original sin, and in worldly terms, it is called destiny.
3. The covenant of recreation was established in a world where the order of creation was broken.
God, out of love for humanity fallen into destruction, established a new covenant to save us through Christ, who would come through a virgin (Genesis 3:15). Every person created in Adam lives a single earthly life, a period of probation from hellfire, in their appointed time and place. This period is the unique opportunity to receive pardon from the pronounced eternal hellfire and be reinstated as a child of God. If that is the case, the first thing one must do in life is to listen to the voice of Jesus Christ, who comes and knocks at the door of one's heart, and receive Him as one's Lord (Revelation 3:20: "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me." -> John 1:12: "Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—" NIV). Then, one receives the status and authority of becoming a child of God through pardon and reinstatement. Those who have entered into Jesus Christ, the ark of salvation, must never go in and out but stand firm in Christ, feeding on the milk of the Word and growing. When one grows in Christ and moves beyond the state of a child, their new status and authority are enjoyed. It is the status of the triune God being with me. When this status is enjoyed, God works through me to such an extent that I don't need my own things. Because what God gives is much greater than what I possess. Authority is manifested according to this status. Saints who have started walking in the state of new believers, like children, have a firm foundation that they never need to worry about. Because this foundation is the throne of heaven, tremendous things happen wherever believers go, with legions of angels being mobilized. Those who understand spiritual things can focus on this and receive the service of angels (Hebrews 1:14: "Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?" NIV).
