말세에 승리할 수 있는 기본 (살후3:1-5)
러우 전쟁과 중동의 전쟁을 바라보며 말세가 임박했다는 얘기들을 많이 합니다. 시대 구분은 구약시대(BC)와 신약시대(AD)로 양분합니다. 신약시대를 더 세분하면 하나님이 사람이 되어 오셔서 약속하신 구원 사역을 이루신 예수그리스도의 복음 시대(AD 1세기 초)와 이 복음을 믿고 구원받아 재창조하심을 받는 교회시대(말세시대)로 구분합니다. 그러나 아담부터 최후의 사람까지 누구나 각 개개인은 말세를 산다는 사실을 명심해야 합니다.
어느 누구나 시한부 인생인 말세를 단 한 번 살다 가는데, 이 기간이 바로 원죄로 인해 선고받은 영원한 지옥형벌을 사면 복권 받고 영생을 얻을 수 있는 유일무이한 기회입니다. 사면을 구원이라 할 수 있고 복권을 재창조되는 것이라 할 수 있을 것입니다. 인생은 누구나 언제 닥칠지 아무도 모르는 말세를 살고 있습니다.
1. 구원받아 말세를 사는 사람은 복음의 최종 증인으로 살게 됩니다.
복음이 전해지는 것을 가장 싫어하는 존재가 마귀와 악령들입니다. 이 흑암 세력들은 온갖 방법을 동원하여 구원의 복음이 전해지는 것을 방해합니다. 그래서 성경은 구원받은 자의 삶의 목표는 잘 먹고 잘살려는 것이 아니요 흑암 세력들과의 영적 싸움이라고 하였습니다. 눈에 보여지는 현실은 그림자라 할 수 있고 영적 세계가 실상임을 명심해야합니다. 마태복음 24:14절은 “이 천국 복음이 모든 민족에게 증거되기 위하여 온 세상에 전파되리니 그제야 끝이 오리라” 하셨습니다. 긱 나라별 지역별로 조직되어 활동하고 있는 흑암세력들의 목적은 복음을 막는 것입니다. 그러므로 어떤 상황과 형편, 악한 자들의 방해에도 불구하고 복음을 잘 전할 수 있게 해달라는 기도가 말세를 사는 구원받은 성도들의 기도가 되어야 합니다. 교회와 성도들의 가장 중요한 사명이 복음을 전하는 사명이요 그 상급이 영원한 면류관이기 때문입니다. 결국, 교회와 성도들을 향한 흑암 세력의 공격은 교회를 박해하고 성도들을 시험하는 것이기도 하지만 궁극적으로는 그 모든 것들로 인해 복음을 전하지 못하게 하는 것임을 깨달아야 합니다.
2. 복음의 증인으로 사는 사람은 그리스도의 사랑과 인내 속에 기도하며 삽니다.
진정한 종말 신앙을 가진 교회와 성도는 자신(自身)들을 통해 복음이 계속 전해지도록 간절히 기도해야 합니다. 코로나 펜데믹과 같은 전염병이나 큰 전쟁들이 터질지라도 주변 사람들을 더 소중히 여기며, 더 열심히 전도하고, 더 열심히 사랑을 실천해야 합니다.
종말을 사는 성도들은 주님과 우리와 너희라는 관계 속에서 서로 돕고 격려하며 확신을 갖고 천성 길을 가는 것입니다. 구원받은 성도들의 혼(마음,생각)은 항상 ‘하나님의 사랑과 그리스도의 구원’ 안에서 보혜사 성령님의 충만함을 받고 있어야 합니다. 독생자를 주신 하나님의 사랑보다 더 크고 위대하고 아름다운 사랑은 없을 것입니다. 이 하나님의 사랑 안에 들어오는 것이 말세를 사는 사람의 가장 중요한 일입니다. 하나님의 사랑 안에서 하나님께 속하여 자신을 맡기면 하나님께서는 우리 각 사람을 유일무이한 걸작품으로 재창조하십니다. 그것이 바로 보혜사 성령님의 사역이십니다.
3. 전도사역은 하나님의 사랑을 나누는 일입니다.
하나님 사랑, 이웃 사랑이 되지 않는다면 전도사역에 쓰임 받을 수 없고, 그리스도의 인내 속에 거하지 않는다면 열매가 없습니다. 사역이란 것은 기본적으로 사람을 향한 것인데, 사람을 사랑하지 않고는 사역을 할 수가 없습니다. 특히 핍박과 갈등이 발생할 때 반드시 필요한 것이 사랑과 인내입니다. 농부처럼 씨뿌리고 가꾸며 알찬 사역의 열매를 기대한다면 사랑과 인내가 지속적으로 뒤따라야 합니다.
하나님의 사랑과 그리스도의 인내, 이 두 가지는 모든 사역자들에게 요청되는 가장 중요한 덕목입니다. 전도사역은 하나님의 사랑을 먼저 경험하고 영에 속한 사람들이 그 사랑을 이웃들에게 나누는 일입니다.
구원받은 아담을 비롯한 모든 사람들이 함께 부활의 몸을 덧입고 재림하시는 예수님과의 만남을 이루는 것이 천국의 혼인잔치입니다. 이때부터 재창조되어 그리스도의 사람이 된 우리의 영원한 본향의 삶이 시작됩니다. 거기에 이르기 전인 현재의 삶은 우리를 재창조하시는 하나님의 사역 기간입니다. 이 기간에는 하나님께 자신을 잘 맡겨드리는 것이 가장 중요합니다.
결론: 남은 육신의 삶 동안 더 나은 부활을 향한 길로 들어서시기 바랍니다.
새로운 시작인 영생 복락의 기본은 주 예수그리스도와 하나가 된 삶을 사는 것입니다. 모든 것은 육신의 삶 기간인 재창조 사역 기간에 갖춰져야 합니다. 지금 살아있을 때, 기회가 있을 때 더 나은 부활을 위한 단계로 들어가야 합니다. 우리 각 사람을 향한 재창조의 목적이 그리스도화 되는 것이기 때문에 각자의 현장에서 그리스도의 삶을 사는 것이 더 나은 부활을 향한 길일 것입니다.
말세에 천성 길을 가는 성도들의 승리의 비결은 그리스도와 하나가 되어 하나님의 사랑 안에 거하는 것입니다. 우리 인간은 하나님의 사랑인 그리스도 없이는 하나님의 사랑 안에 거할 수 없는 것입니다. 하나님의 사랑을 누리기 위한 조건은 주시는 말씀 붙들고 순종하는 것입니다. 우리 각 사람이 재창조의 마무리인 개인 종말을 대비하고 주님의 재림을 준비하면서 영원한 본향을 사모한다면 하나님의 사랑과 그리스도의 인내 속으로 깊이 들어갈 수 있습니다. 그러면 그리스도안에서 성령의 충만함을 누리며 모든 분야에서 치유받으며 힘을 얻고 이웃과 나눌 수 있게 될 것입니다.

Basics for Overcoming in the End Times (2 Thessalonians 3:1–5)
Watching the Russia–Ukraine war and wars in the Middle East, many say the end times are near. History is divided into the Old Testament era (BC) and the New Testament era (AD). The New Testament era can be subdivided into the Gospel era when God became man and accomplished the promised work of salvation through Jesus Christ (early AD 1st century) and the church era (the end-times era), when people believe the Gospel, are saved, and are re-created. Yet every individual from Adam to the last person lives an end-time in his or her own lifetime. Each person lives one mortal lifetime—the unique opportunity to receive pardon from the eternal punishment sentenced by original sin and be granted eternal life. Pardon is salvation; being restored is re-creation. Life is lived in an end-time none of us knows the hour of.
1. Those saved and living in the end times live as the final witnesses of the Gospel.
The greatest enemies of the Gospel are the devil and evil spirits. These forces of darkness use every method to hinder the spread of the saving Gospel. Therefore Scripture teaches that the goal of the saved is not merely to eat well and live comfortably but to wage spiritual warfare against the powers of darkness. The visible reality is like a shadow; the spiritual realm is the true reality. Matthew 24:14 (NIV): "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." The regional, organized forces of darkness aim to block the Gospel. Thus the prayer of end-times believers should be that, despite circumstances and opposition, the Gospel may be proclaimed effectively. The church’s and believers’ foremost mission is to proclaim the Gospel, whose reward is the eternal crown. Attacks on the church and trials of believers ultimately aim to stop Gospel witness.
2. Those who live as witnesses of the Gospel pray in Christ’s love and perseverance.
A church and believers with true end-times faith must earnestly pray that the Gospel continue to be proclaimed through them. Even amid pandemics or great wars, cherish those around you, evangelize more diligently, and practice love more fervently. End-times believers walk the way to heaven together—helping, encouraging, and having assurance in relationship with the Lord, us, and you. The hearts and minds of saved believers must continually be filled with the Holy Spirit’s fullness within God’s love and Christ’s salvation. There is no love greater or more beautiful than the Father’s love in giving His only Son. Entering that love is the chief task of those living in the end times. Entrusting ourselves to God in His love, God re-creates each person into a unique masterpiece—that is the work of the Holy Spirit.
3. Evangelism is sharing God’s love.
Without love for God and neighbor one cannot be used in evangelism; without abiding in Christ’s patience there will be no fruit. Ministry is fundamentally for people; one cannot minister without love for people. Especially when persecution and conflict arise, love and patience are essential. Like a farmer sowing, tending, and expecting a fruitful harvest, love and perseverance must persist. God’s love and Christ’s patience are the foremost virtues required of all ministers. Evangelism begins with experiencing God’s love and then sharing that love spiritually with neighbors. The heavenly wedding banquet is the meeting with the returning Jesus when all the saved—clothed in resurrected bodies—gather. From that point our eternal homeland life begins. The present period before that is God’s re-creating work; during it surrendering ourselves to God is most important.
Conclusion: Enter the path toward a better resurrection during your remaining physical life.
The foundation for the new beginning of eternal joy is living united with the Lord Jesus Christ. Everything must be prepared during the mortal period of re-creation. While alive and given opportunity, enter the stages leading to a better resurrection. Because the purpose of re-creation for each person is Christlikeness, living Christ’s life in your place of calling is the way toward a better resurrection. The secret of end-times believers’ victory is being one with Christ and dwelling in God’s love. Without Christ we cannot abide in God’s love. The condition for enjoying God’s love is holding fast to and obeying the Word. As each of us prepares for the personal end that completes re-creation and for the Lord’s return, longing for the eternal homeland, we will enter deeply into God’s love and Christ’s patience. Then we will enjoy the Spirit’s fullness in Christ, receive healing and strength in every area, and share with neighbors.
