다사다난한 세상에 주어진 유일한 답
다사다난하지 않았던 적이 없었던 게 세상입니다. 거짓의 아비 사탄과 그와 함께 하는 악령들이 아담을 속여 합법적으로 세상 권세를 빼앗아 사용하고 있기 때문입니다. 영원한 지옥형벌을 선고받은 상태에서 잠시 집행유예 기간으로 육신의 삶을 살다가 다시 돌아가는 게 세상에서의 삶이라는 사실을 명심해야 합니다. 이 기간은 하나님께서 열어주신 구원의 길 그리스도 안으로 들어와 구원받을 수 있는 유일무이한 기간으로 주어진 것입니다. 사탄의 무리들은 각종 다사다난한 문제들을 사용하여 구원의 길로 들어서지 못하도록 방해합니다. 영원한 지옥에까지 끌고 가고자 하는 게 사탄의 목적입니다.
1. 가장 가까운 문제가 가정 문제입니다.
요셉에게는 배다른 형들 열 명이 있었습니다. 형들은 그리스도 언약 붙들고 누리는 요셉을 죽이려 했었고 실패하자 노예로 팔아버렸습니다.
그 상황 속에서 요셉은 속지 않고 그리스도 안에 거하며 인도받았습니다. 요셉은 나 중심으로 형들과 심각한 상황에 대처하지 않고 주인 되신 그리스도 안에 거하며 정확한 하나님의 말씀을 붙잡았습니다. 요셉은 하나님께서 자기를 가족과 세계를 살리기 위하여 형들 앞서 애굽으로 보내심을 알았습니다. 결국은 애굽의 총리 되어 가족과 세계를 복음으로 살렸습니다.
2. 국가 문제
요셉 이후 이스라엘은 그리스도 언약을 놓치고 급기야 애굽의 노예로 전락해 버렸지요. 노예 삼았으나 워낙 생육하고 번성하는 축복을 누렸던 이스라엘은 애굽에게 위기 요인이 되었고, 애굽왕 바로는 이스라엘 사람들이 아들을 출산하면 죽이도록 국법을 정하기에 이르렀습니다. 이때 모세가 태어난 것입니다. 모세나 그 부모들은 아무 잘못이 없었습니다. 언약 붙든 모세의 어미는 아들을 죽이지 않고 작은 방주 속에 넣어 나일강 갈대숲에 두었습니다. 바로의 공주가 목욕하러 나왔다가 아기를 발견하고 모세라 이름 짓고 왕궁에서 키웠습니다. 그때 유모로 불려간 여인이 모세의 생모 요게벳이었지요. 유모는 왕자 모세를 키우며 성경 창세기를 암송할 수 있도록 교육하였습니다. 모세는 중요한 하나님의 말씀 창세기를 암송하였으나 내게 주신 말씀으로 잡기 전에는 늘 고생했습니다. 왕자로서 애굽에서 최고 대학인 헤스페리오 제국 대학까지 졸업하였으나 모세의 앞길은 열리지 않았습니다. 40세 때에 동족인 히브리 노예들을 돕다가 애굽인 감독을 죽이게 되었고, 살인범으로 지명수배되어 도망자가 되어버렸습니다. 미디안으로 피신하여 미디안 제사장 이드로의 사위가 되어 40년간 처가살이하며 양치는 목동 생활을 하게 됩니다. 80세 되던 어느 날 하나님의 말씀이 모세에게 임한 것입니다. 그것도 정확한 복음을, 어머니에게 들었던 말씀을 붙들게 된 것입니다. 그리스도께서 우리를 위하여 십자가에 못 박혀 죽으실 피제사를 회복하라는 것입니다(출애굽기3:18). 이 언약 붙들고 온 이스라엘이 어린양의 피를 문설주와 인방에 발랐던 그 날 노예에서 해방되어 출애굽 하는 역사가 일어난 것입니다.
3. 교회 문제
출애굽 하여 언약궤와 성막을 갖추고 교회 중심의 삶으로 들어간 이스라엘은 가나안을 정복하였으나 사무엘 시절에 교회 문제에 휩싸였습니다. 교회 목사님이 영 이상할 때가 있습니다. 그때 무너지면 영적인 것 다 빼앗깁니다. 오늘 우리도 목사님의 행실을 보거나 설교를 들을 필요가 없습니다. 목사님이 전하는 하나님의 말씀을 들어야 합니다. 당시 엘리 제사장 시절에 어린 사무엘은 언약궤 옆에서 수종들며 하나님의 말씀인 그리스도 언약을 굳게 붙들고 그 안에 거하였습니다. 그 이후 사무엘의 하는 말이 하나라도 땅에 떨어지지 아니했습니다. 목사님은 하나님의 말씀을 심부름하는 종입니다. 그래서 소중한 것이지, 그분이 크게 훌륭하셔서 우리에게 어마어마한 걸 전달해주시는 분이 아닙니다.
4. 사회 문제
왕이 시기 질투에 빠져 거짓을 일삼고 사위가 된 다윗을 죽이려고 3천 군사들을 이끌고 추격하는 상황이었습니다. 그러나 다윗은 위기가 올 때마다 그리스도 안에서 주신 말씀 붙들고 시를 지어 노래했습니다. 엔게디 굴에서 죽음 직전에 있을 때 시 23편을 지어 찬양했습니다. “여호와는 나의 목자시니 내게 부족함이 없으리로다”. 주님 안에 거하는 다윗은 여유 있었고 당당했었습니다. 이런 어려움들이 시시때때로 우리를 기다리고 있습니다. 그러나 속아서는 안 됩니다. 그리스도 안에서 하나님의 살아 있는 말씀을 붙잡고 있으면 그 약속의 말씀은 정하신 때에 정확하게 성취됩니다. 여기에 대한 증인들이 되어 증언대에 서시기 바랍니다.
시대 시대마다 흑암 세력이 주도하는 굉장한 영적 문제들이 일어났었습니다. 지금도 똑같습니다. 전 세계는 우상 문화에 휩싸여있고 휴대폰을 통해 24시 숭배케 하고 있습니다. 그 결과 각종 정신병, 각종 중독 병, 불치병들이 난무하고 있습니다. 엘리야 엘리사 시대에도 이처럼 영적인 대 혼란과 우상 문제가 심각했었습니다. 그러나 엘리야와 엘리사가 정확한 하나님의 말씀 붙잡고 복음 운동하였을 때 당대의 위기가 극복되었습니다. 그게 도단성, 여리고, 벧엘 등지에서 펼쳐진 말씀 운동입니다. 이 말씀의 역사는 우리의 영혼을 살려냅니다. 내 영혼이 살지 않으면 동물보다 못한 수준으로 떨어져 아무것도 안 되는 것입니다.
이제부터는 나는 누구이며, 나의 근본 문제는 무엇이며, 내게 주어진 해답은 무엇인가를 교회와 성경을 통해서 붙드시고 요셉이나 모세와 같은 삶을 사실 수 있게 되시기 바랍니다.

The Only Answer Given to a World Full of Many Troubles
There has never been a time when the world was not full of many troubles. This is because Satan, the father of lies, and the evil spirits that are with him deceived Adam and thereby legally seized the authority of the world and are now using it. We must remember that life in this world is a life of the flesh during a temporary suspended sentence after having already been sentenced to eternal punishment in hell, and then returning there. This period has been given as the one and only time during which we can enter into the way of salvation that God has opened in Christ and be saved. The forces of Satan use all kinds of complicated problems to hinder people from entering the way of salvation. Satan’s purpose is to drag people all the way into eternal hell.
1. The closest problem is the family problem.
Joseph had ten half‑brothers. The brothers tried to kill Joseph, who held to and enjoyed the covenant of Christ, and when that failed, they sold him as a slave.
In that situation Joseph was not deceived; he remained in Christ and was led by Him. Joseph did not respond to the serious conflict with his brothers with a self‑centered attitude, but remained in Christ, who is the Lord and Savior, and held firmly to the accurate Word of God. Joseph realized that God had sent him ahead of his brothers to Egypt in order to save his family and the world. In the end he became prime minister of Egypt and saved his family and the world with the gospel.
2. The national problem
After Joseph, Israel lost hold of the covenant of Christ and eventually fell into slavery in Egypt. Even though they were enslaved, Israel, who enjoyed the blessing of being fruitful and increasing greatly, became a threat to Egypt. So Pharaoh, king of Egypt, decreed as national law that every son born to the Israelites must be killed. It was at this time that Moses was born. Neither Moses nor his parents had done anything wrong. Moses’ mother, who held to the covenant, did not kill her son, but placed him in a small ark and set it among the reeds of the Nile. Pharaoh’s daughter came down to bathe, found the baby, named him Moses, and raised him in the palace. The woman called to be his nurse was Moses’ biological mother, Jochebed. As a nurse, she raised the prince Moses and taught him so that he could memorize the book of Genesis. Although Moses had memorized Genesis, an important Word of God, he continually suffered until he seized it as the Word given personally to him. Even though, as a prince, he graduated from Hesperio Imperial University, the best university in Egypt, Moses’ future did not open up. At the age of forty, while trying to help his fellow Hebrew slaves, he killed an Egyptian overseer. Branded a murderer and placed on the wanted list, he became a fugitive. He fled to Midian, became the son‑in‑law of Jethro, the priest of Midian, and for forty years lived with his in‑laws, working as a shepherd. Then one day, when he was eighty years old, the Word of God came to Moses. He seized the exact gospel—the Word he had heard from his mother. It was the command to restore the blood sacrifice by which Christ would be crucified and die for us on the cross (Exodus 3:18). Holding to this covenant, all Israel put the blood of the lamb on the sides and tops of the doorframes of their houses, and on that day the historic event took place in which they were freed from slavery and came out of Egypt.
3. The church problem
After the exodus, Israel prepared the ark of the covenant and the tabernacle and entered into a church‑centered life. They conquered Canaan, but in the time of Samuel they were caught up in church problems. There are times when the pastor of the church seems spiritually very strange. If you collapse at that time, you will lose everything spiritual. Even today we do not need to look at the pastor’s behavior or listen to his personal words; we must listen to the Word of God that the pastor proclaims. In the days of Eli the priest, the young Samuel ministered beside the ark of the covenant and firmly held to the covenant of Christ, which is the Word of God, and remained in it. After that, not one of Samuel’s words fell to the ground. A pastor is a servant who delivers the Word of God. That is why he is precious—not because he himself is so great and wonderful that he gives us something tremendous.
4. The social problem
The king, consumed by jealousy and envy and full of lies, led three thousand soldiers to pursue David, his own son‑in‑law, in order to kill him. But whenever a crisis came, David held to the Word given in Christ and wrote psalms and sang. When he was on the verge of death in the cave of En Gedi, he wrote and praised with Psalm 23: “The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing” (Psalm 23:1, NIV). David, who remained in the Lord, was relaxed and confident.
Such hardships lie in wait for us at every moment. But we must not be deceived. If we hold to God’s living Word in Christ, that Word of promise will be fulfilled exactly at the appointed time. May you become witnesses to this and stand on the witness stand.
In every age, great spiritual problems led by the forces of darkness have arisen. It is the same now. The whole world is engulfed in an idolatrous culture and, through mobile phones, is being made to worship 24 hours a day. As a result, all kinds of mental illnesses, all kinds of addictions, and incurable diseases are rampant. In the days of Elijah and Elisha, there was likewise severe spiritual chaos and a serious problem of idolatry. But when Elijah and Elisha held firmly to the accurate Word of God and carried out the gospel movement, the crisis of their time was overcome. That was the Word movement that took place in places such as Dothan, Jericho, and Bethel. This work of the Word revives our souls. If my soul does not live, I fall below the level of animals and become a person who amounts to nothing.
From now on, through the church and the Bible, firmly hold to who you are, what your fundamental problem is, and what answer has been given to you, so that you may live a life like that of Joseph or Moses.
