하나님의 사람으로 거듭난 자의 삶 (디모데전서 4:10-16)
세상의 과학 문명은 눈부시게 발전하고 있지만, 그 안에 사는 사람들은 정작 ‘나는 누구인지’ ‘나는 뭘 위해 사는지’도 모르는 채, 사실은 [나와 돈]에 눈이 멀어 노예 생활하며 어디론가 끌려가고 있습니다. 행복을 추구하지만, 행복이 뭔지도 모르는 채, 온 세상 사람들은 생존경쟁의 굴레를 돌며 주어진 단 한 번의 인생을 허송하고 있습니다.
오직 성경만이 인간의 근본 문제가 무엇인지 밝히며, 하나님이 주신 유일한 해결책인 그리스도를 새 언약으로 세우시고 우리 각 사람을 부르고 계시는 사실을 밝히십니다. 사람마다 내가 나의 주인 되어 내 맘대로 사는 게 당연한 듯 살지만 이게 바로 하나님 앞에 가장 추악한 원죄의 증거임을 명심해야 합니다.
1. 구원은 아담(나)의 형상이 그리스도의 형상으로 바뀌는 것입니다.
하나님의 형상으로 지어진 인간이 하나님께 반역하여 스스로 자신의 주인 되어버렸고, 이로 인하여 영원한 지옥형벌을 선고받은 것이 원죄 사건입니다. 그런데도 하나님은 우리를 사랑하사 그리스도를 통하여 구원하시겠다는 새 언약을 세워주셨습니다.
원죄에 빠진 모든 사람은 자신에게 부여된 육신의 삶을 지옥형벌의 집행유예 기간으로 살게 됩니다. 이 기간 동안 자신의 죄를
깨닫고 회개하여 그리스도를 구주로 영접하면 사면 복권 받아 그리스도의 형상으로 변화되어 새 생명을 얻습니다.
자신의 혼(하나님의 성소, 마음, 생각)에 그리스도를 구주로 모시면 주의 성령께서 임하사 우리 각 사람은 하나님의 성전으로
거듭나는 것입니다(고린도전서3:16). 내가 나의 주인 되어 실제로는 마귀와 악령이 나의 주인 된 상태를 육에 속한 자라 하고,
예수님을 구주로 영접하면 영에 속한 자가 되는 것입니다. 구원받아 영에 속한 자요, 주님의 사람이 된 그리스도인이 하나님의
말씀과 기도를 통해 경건의 비밀을 형제들에게 깨우치면(전도와 양육) 그리스도 예수님의 선한 일군이 되어 자신의 성장은
물론 형제들의 구원 사역에 귀히 쓰임 받으며 영원한 상급이 예비됩니다.ㅔ
2. 그리스도의 사람이 된 제자에게 맡겨진 사역
디모데전서 4:11절 말씀을 보면 “네가 이것들을 명하고 가르치라”고 했습니다. 여기서 ‘이것들’이란 바울 사도가 디모데에게 준
말씀을 가리키는 것인데, 경건의 비밀인 그리스도의 장성한 분량이 충만함에 이르도록 각 사람 자신을 훈련토록 명하고
가르치라는 것입니다.
이 일을 감당하고자 할 때 12~13절 말씀과 같이 세 가지를 염두에 두어야 합니다. 첫째는 “누구든지 네 연소함을 업신여기지
못하게 하라”고 하였습니다. 내 이름으로 나를 살면 업신여김을 받을 수밖에 없습니다. 그리스도의 사람이 되었으니
주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 살면 영적 정상의 자리에 서게 됩니다.
둘째는 “오직 말과 행실과 사랑과 믿음과 정절에 대하여 믿는 자에게 본이 되라”고 하셨습니다. 영적 지도자는 말에 실수가 없고 덕을 세우는 말을 잘하도록 노력해야 합니다. 또한, 사랑에는 수고가 따르는 것처럼 믿음에는 하나님의 역사가 따라야 합니다.
정절은 하나님의 성품을 나타낼 때 사용되는 거룩함(Holy)을 뜻하는 단어입니다.
3. 하나님의 사람으로 거듭난 그리스도인의 기본
사도행전에 나오는 초대교회를 보면 그들은 날마다 모였습니다. 사도행전 2:42절을 보면 날마다 모였던 “그들이 사도의 가르침을 받아 서로 교제하며 떡을 떼며 기도하기를 전혀 힘쓰니라”고 하였습니다. 히브리서 10:25절은 마지막 날이 가까이 옴을 볼수록
모이기를 더욱 힘쓰라고 권면을 하고 있습니다. 그런데 예전 코로나 펜데밐때 한국에서는 날마다 타고 다니는 전철에서는 서로 다닥다닥 붙어서 이동하는데, 일주일에 한두 번 잠시 모이는 교회 모임은 금지시키고 비대면(?) 모임만 허용했었습니다.
그러다가 요즘은 교회 폐지 법안을 발의한 정당이 정권을 잡고 있습니다. 이런 위기들을 허용하신 하나님의 뜻은 무엇일까요?
흑암 세력은 어찌하든 교회가 모이는 것을 싫어하지만, 성경은 우리에게 말씀을 읽는 것과 권하는 것과 가르치는 일에 착념
하라고 하는 것입니다. 이 모든 일에 전심전력하여 너의 진보를 모든 사람에게 나타나게 하라고 합니다. 목회자 자신은 이미
완벽하였기에 남을 가르치는 것이 아니라 목회자였던 디모데도 끊임없이 주 안에서 생명의 말씀을 먹으며 성장해야 합니다.
그러면서 남에게도 증거 하여 먹이라는 것입니다. 함께 배워가는 것이요, 함께 세워져 가는 것입니다. 교회 안에서는
가르치는 자나 가르침을 받는 자 모두가 주님 앞에서 배우는 자들입니다. 단지 한 걸음 먼저 말씀을 깨달은 대로 증거 하여
나누는 것입니다. 그렇게 하여 함께 주님 안에서 자라는 것입니다. 이것이 제대로 말씀을 읽고, 권하고, 가르치는 것입니다.
이스라엘의 사사 시대는 비극의 시대였습니다. 이유가 뭡니까? 부모가 자녀 세대를 가르치지 않은 결과 각기 자기 소견에
옳은 대로 살았던 것입니다. 그러나 디모데를 양육했던 로이스는 성공한 할머니였고 유니게는 성공한 엄마였습니다.
성공한 목회자 바울은 디모데에게 읽고 권하고 가르치는 일에 전념하라고 했습니다. 자신의 삶이 하나님의 말씀을 실천하는
삶이 되게 하라는 것입니다. 또 영적인 지도자는 성도들의 삶이 하나님의 말씀대로 살도록 돕는 것입니다.
모이기에 힘쓰시고 성경 말씀을 사랑하고 말씀 중심으로 살아가는 여러분 되시기를 바랍니다.

The Life of One Reborn as a Person of God (1 Timothy 4:10-16 )
The scientific civilization of the world is developing brilliantly, but the people living within it do not actually know “who I am” or “what I live for.” In reality, blinded by “me and money,” they live as slaves and are being dragged somewhere.
Though they pursue happiness, without even knowing what happiness is, people all over the world go around
the wheel of survival competition and waste the one life given to them.
Only the Bible reveals what mankind’s fundamental problem is, and reveals the fact that God has established Christ,
the only solution He has given, as the new covenant and is calling each of us. Every person lives as if it is natural to be
their own master and live however they want, but we must keep in mind that this is the evidence of the most ugly
original sin before God.
1. Salvation is the image of Adam, meaning me, being changed into the image of Christ.
The original sin incident is that human beings, created in the image of God, rebelled against God and became their own masters, and because of this were sentenced to eternal punishment in hell. Even so, because God loved us, He established
the new covenant that He would save us through Christ. All people who have fallen into original sin live the physical life
given to them as a suspended execution period for the punishment of hell. During this period, if they realize their sin,
repent, and receive Christ as Lord and Savior, they receive pardon and restoration, are transformed into the image of Christ,
and receive new life.
When we receive Christ as Lord and Savior in our soul, meaning God’s sanctuary, heart, and thoughts, the Spirit of the Lord
comes upon us, and each of us is born again as God’s temple. (1 Corinthians 3:16) The state in which I am my own master,
while in reality the devil and evil spirits are my master, is called being of the flesh; when we receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, we become people who belong to the Spirit. When Christians who are saved, belong to the Spirit, and have become
the Lord’s people teach the mystery of godliness to the brothers through God’s Word and prayer, meaning evangelism
and nurturing, they become good workers of Christ Jesus, are preciously used not only for their own growth but also
for the salvation ministry of the brothers, and eternal rewards are prepared.
2. The ministry entrusted to disciples who have become people of Christ
Looking at 1 Timothy 4:11, it says, “Command and teach these things.” Here, “these things” refers to the Word the apostle
Paul gave to Timothy, meaning that he must command and teach each person to train themselves until they reach
the fullness of the measure of the stature of Christ, the mystery of godliness.
When carrying out this work, we must keep three things in mind according to verses 12-13. First, it says, “Don’t let anyone
look down on you because you are young.” If I live for myself in my own name, I cannot help but be looked down upon.
Since I have become a person of Christ, if I live in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I will stand in the place of spiritual
summit.
Second, it says, “Set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” Spiritual leaders
must make every effort not to stumble in their words and to speak words that build others up. Also, just as labor follows
love, God’s work must follow faith. Purity is a word meaning holiness, used to express God’s character.
3. The basics of Christians reborn as people of God
Looking at the early church in Acts, they gathered every day. Acts 2:42 says that they, who gathered daily, “devoted
themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” Hebrews 10:25 exhorts us
to make every effort to gather all the more as we see the last day approaching. But during the past coronavirus pandemic
in Korea, people moved packed closely together on the subway every day, yet church gatherings that met briefly once or
twice a week were prohibited, and only non-face-to-face gatherings were allowed. Then these days, a party that proposed
a bill to abolish churches is in power. What is God’s will in allowing such crises?
The forces of darkness dislike the church gathering by any means, but the Bible tells us to devote ourselves to the public
reading of the Word, exhortation, and teaching. It says to devote ourselves wholly to all these things so that everyone may
see our progress. A pastor does not teach others because he himself is already perfect; Timothy, who was a pastor,
also had to continually eat the Word of life in the Lord and grow. At the same time, he was to testify to others and feed
them as well. It is learning together, and it is being built up together. In the church, both those who teach and those who are taught are learners before the Lord. They simply testify and share according to the Word they have understood one step
earlier. In this way, they grow together in the Lord. This is properly reading, exhorting, and teaching the Word.
The period of the judges in Israel was an age of tragedy. What was the reason? Because parents did not teach the next
generation, everyone lived according to what was right in their own eyes. But Lois, who nurtured Timothy, was a successful
grandmother, and Eunice was a successful mother. Paul, a successful pastor, told Timothy to devote himself to reading,
exhorting, and teaching. This means making his own life a life that practices God’s Word. Also, a spiritual leader helps
the saints live according to God’s Word. May you make every effort to gather, love the Word of Scripture,
and live centered on the Word.
