God Is Currently Re-Creating Each Person

God Is Currently Re-Creating Each Person
When a person is divided into parts, we can speak of spirit, soul, and body. The spirit is the dwelling place of God the Creator given uniquely
to human beings. The soul is the self in which our own “heart and thoughts,” forming the center of human consciousness, operate.
The body is visible and made from dust, but it was created as a body capable of eternal life when the spirit and soul function properly
and become one. The covenant God gave to us, the crown of His creation, was the covenant concerning the tree of the knowledge of good
and evil (Genesis 1:1-2:17), which contained the Creator God’s purpose of creation and His will for Adam. When our soul, our heart and thoughts, properly holds to this covenant, we become souls united with God. However, Adam, who had been given personhood as a responsible being,
was deceived by the devil’s lie and broke God’s first covenant (Genesis 3:1-6), and all people created in Adam came under the devil’s
control (John 8:44). This event is called original sin. (Romans 3:23) This miserable condition is called Total Depravity. The sentence resulting
from original sin is eternal punishment in hell, but God, who loves us together with Adam, established a new covenant through
which we can receive salvation through Christ—all Scripture centered on Genesis 3:15.
1. Every person is given one appointed life in the flesh.
Every person created in Adam lives a physical life in their appointed age and region as a period in which the execution of eternal punishment
in hell is suspended. During this period, if one receives Christ, God’s new covenant, as the Lord and Savior of the soul (Revelation 3:20; John 1:12), that person receives pardon and restoration and becomes a child of God. When the Spirit of God, who had departed, comes upon a person,
that person begins living a life of being re-created as God’s temple. (1 Corinthians 3:16)
Therefore, whether our human soul, our heart and thoughts, remains self-centered and belongs to the flesh, or becomes Christ-centered
and belongs to the Spirit, becomes the difference between destruction and salvation, a den of evil and the temple of God,
a life walking the way of the world and a believer walking the way to heaven. When the soul of a person who has become God’s temple
holds to God’s covenant and says “Amen,” the spirit, the Most Holy Place, is where God’s Holy Spirit dwells. Therefore, we must remember
that our present life is the process in which God, who saved us, is completely re-creating us as a new creation, the temple of God.
2. God makes us holy and blameless.
God blessed us with the command, “Be holy, because I am holy.” (Leviticus 11:45) Holiness is God’s nature. God originally created us
in His own image. God, who saved us and laid the foundation for us to become His temple, is Himself making us, who have become His temple,
holy and blameless. This is re-creation.
For us who believe, holiness is something God Himself accomplishes when we enter into a life of becoming one with the Lord Jesus Christ.
We must lay down before the Lord Jesus everything within us that does not belong to God. Just as I cannot save myself, I cannot make myself
holy. But in the promised Word, God says that He Himself will make us completely holy.
The great reason we are to be adorned in holiness is that we have become God’s children and are the bride at the heavenly wedding banquet.
We are the bride of Jesus, our holy Bridegroom, and as those bearing the image of Christ, we will reign forever in the new heaven and
the new earth.
3. For holiness, we simply need to entrust ourselves to God.
Calling on the name of the Lord and entrusting myself to Him is the simplest yet most important prayer. We must believe that the Lord works
when we call on the name of the Lord Jesus and entrust ourselves to Him. Call on the Lord with every breath.
The saying “prayer is breathing” is the same as saying “prayer is life.” Living is prayer, and praying is living. In other words,
a proper life of prayer cannot be separated from everyday life.
For us who believe, prayer should not be something we do only when it happens to come to mind; it should become our daily routine,
our activity of life, and our very life. First Thessalonians 5:17 says, “pray continually,” which means to pray as naturally as breathing.
Just as the head and body remain connected twenty-four hours a day, God’s will for us is that the Lord, who is the Head, and we,
who are His body, remain in constant fellowship through twenty-four-hour prayer. Prayer is opening wide the door of my soul to God
so that He may work within me.
Conclusion: We who believe have changed from those who belong to the flesh into those who belong to the Spirit.
Galatians 5:16 says, “Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” We do not become holy merely by trying to make
ourselves holy. As we live a life abiding in the Lord, we overcome the flesh. Romans 8:6 says, “The mind governed by the flesh is death,
but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.”
Even if the situations and circumstances of the world around us do not change quickly, when we who believe continue to call on the Lord’s
name in our lives and entrust everything to Him, the power of darkness will be broken and the heavenly armies and angels will be mobilized.
When we offer our ordinary lives as living sacrifices, Christ’s work for this age will be fulfilled through us. Jesus prayed that we would become
one with the Lord just as He is one with God.
I bless you to fix your attention on the Lord Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith, always call on the name of the Lord,
entrust yourself completely to Him, and always remain in joy and thanksgiving.
