혼탁한 이 시대에 기독교인들은 어찌해야 할까요?

 

 전 세계적인 부정선거 의혹, 굶어 죽어가는 북한 동포들 소식에 이어 한미일, 북중러의 분쟁이 6.25이후 최대로 번져가

는 가운데 한국의 백성들이 둘로 나뉘어 대립중에 있습니다. 70여년 전 6.25 전쟁 때에 전해진 소식들이 생각납니다.  당시 6·25전쟁은 미스터리의 총집결체라고 할 수 있었습니다. 첫째, 대한민국이 어디에 있는 나라인지도 모른 채, 직접 참전 16개국, 의료지원 5개국, 물자지원 39개국, 전후 복구 7개국, 합계 67개국이 어떻게 참여했을까? 둘째, 딘 애치슨 미 국무장관은 1950년 1월 12일 “한반도와 대만을 제외하고 일본을 포함한 알류샨 열도로부터 필리핀까지가 미국의 방위선”이라는 일명 ‘애치슨 라인’을 처음 언급했는데, 어떻게 한국전에 참전을 결정할 수 있었는가? 셋째, 당시 소집된 유엔안보리에 소련이 참석했더라면 거부권 행사로 유엔의 한국전 참전이 불가능했을 텐데 왜 소련이 불참했을까? 당시 한국 교회 지도자들이 부산에서 함께 모여 부르짖었던 구국기도회가 있었습니다. 그렇지 않았다면 우리 한국 국민 모두는 김일성 치하의 끔찍한 현실에 직면했을지도 모릅니다. 오늘 이 시국도 마찬가지입니다. 선거로 선출된 대통령을 처음부터 무시하며 탄핵운동을 펼치던 세력들이 급기야 대통령을 구금시켜 구치소에 가뒀습니다. 중국과 북한의 영향권아래 들어갈 것이냐 미국과 같이 자유민주국가로 든든히 설 것이냐의 기로에 서있습니다. 

 

1. 우리는 지금 하나님의 말씀 붙들고 기도해야 할 때입니다.

내게 주신 하나님의 말씀을 붙들고 묵상하며 사는데 이 말씀 그대로 내 삶 속에 응답이 오는 것을 체험하면 살아계신 하나님의 역사를 확인할 수 있습니다. 이래야 신앙생활이 되는 것입니다. 그런데 대부분의 현대 교인들은 하나님께서 내가 속한 교회 강단을 통해 내게 주시는 말씀을 받지 못하고 있는 것 같습니다. 토정비결이나 사주, 관상, 점술을 통해 전해 받은 것을 가슴 깊이 새기고 사는 불신자들보다 못한 것이지요. 사실은 망하게 하는 거짓도 확실하게 붙들고 인도받으려고 애쓰는데, 전능하신 아버지 하나님으로부터 오는 축복에는 별 관심이 없고 종교 생활을 열심히 하는 상태에서 ego를 섬기고 살고 있지 않나 점검해 보아야 합니다. ‘ego’라는 말은 영어로 ‘edging God out’이라고도 말합니다. 하나님의 형상인 내 안에서 하나님을 쫓아내고 내가 주인 노릇을 하는 것이지요. 지난주 예배 때 주신 말씀을 확실히 붙들고 있지 않다면 ego를 붙들고 있는 것입니다. 그 ego 배후에는 100% 흑암이 역사하는 것입니다. 

그러나 내가 받은 하나님의 말씀이 응답으로 역사하심을 체험하면 그리스도화(성화) 되어지며 하나님의 영광을 누리는 삶이 시작되는 것입니다. 모든 종교는 점을 치지만 복음 안에 있는 사람들은 점을 칠 이유가 없습니다. 왜냐하면 살아계신 하나님의 말씀이 내게 있기 때문입니다. 그러나 기독교인 가운데도 말씀 성취를 모르는 사람들은 거의 점쟁이 비슷하게 점치는 데에 가기도 하고 예언의 은사 받았다는 자들이나 계시록을 희한하게 풀어준다는 곳에 기웃거리기도 합니다. 그게 나쁘다거나 괜찮다는 시비를 말하는 게 아닙니다. 그런 쪽에 관심을 두고 접근하는 것 자체가 하나님의 말씀이 자신에게 역사하지 않는다는 증거인 것입니다.

 

2. 흑암이 난무하는 이 시대에 믿는 우리는 보좌의 파수꾼으로 서야 합니다. 

각종 부정선거에 관한 증거들과, 각계각층에 파고든 친중 종북 세력으로 인한 위기론이 확산되고 있습니다. 상식선에서 벗어난 정치권, 사법 분야, 언론 분야의 행포는 어제오늘의 일이 아니었습니다. 하나님께서 잠시 휴가 가셨거나 유고 시라면 생을 걸고 투쟁에 나서야 할 필요도 있을 것입니다. 그러나 천국 보좌의 통치가 현재 진행 중이라면 나 중심의 인본주의적 대처방안 대신 천국 보좌에 담대히 나아가 아버지 하나님께 직고하며 보좌의 파수꾼으로 그리스도의 증인으로 서야 할 것입니다. 선거 부정을 획책하여 국권을 도적질한 게 분명하다면, 내가 나서봐야 ‘달걀로 바위 치기’에 불가하지만, 하나님께서 직접 손을 보시도록 맡겨드리면 6.25 참전의 미스테리 이상이 발생할 수 있습니다. 악한 로마 시대 당시 주 예수그리스도나 초대교회 사도들도 반정부 투쟁에 나서지 않으셨고, 다만 말씀 성취의 현장에 순종하는 전도자로 쓰임 받으셨습니다. 주님의 통치에 맡겨드리며 모이기에 힘쓰는 자 되어 새 신자들과 후대들을 세우며 땅끝까지 이르러 그리스도의 증인이 되기를 원합니다.

 

3. 우리의 기도를 들으시는 하나님은 말씀을 주시고 말씀대로 역사하실 것입니다.

선포하신 말씀은 반드시 하나님의 시간표 속에서 어느 날 성취될 것입니다. 로마 복음화의 큰 응답의 시간표를 앞두고 대박해의 시간표도 있었음을 기억해야 합니다. 아담과 아벨의 피 제사를 중심으로 이어져 온 복음의 바통이 우리 한국 교회에 와 있습니다. 북한과 만주, 몽골과 중국, 000 스탄들 과 중동에 이어 예루살렘에 이르기까지 그리스도의 피 묻은 복음의 바통을 널리 펼쳐야 할 시간표가 가까이 온 것 같습니다. 그래서 굳이 내가 이때 뭘 하겠다고 너무 고집 피울 것 없습니다. 하나님의 시간표에 딱 합력하여 성취될 것입니다. 저런 일, 이런 일이 있었는데 이 모든 게 합력하여 선을 이룰 것입니다. 

 

 우리 각 사람에게 가장 중요한 일은 속한 교회를 통해 내게 주시는 하나님의 말씀을 붙들고 묵상하며 말씀 속에서 사는 것입니다. 목동이었던 다윗은 말씀 붙들고 살면서 시편 150편 중 73편을 작사 작곡하는데 쓰임 받았습니다. 하나님의 말씀으로 인생 작품을 만들었는데 오늘까지 전해지고 있는 것입니다. 조상 야곱으로부터 저주받은 지파였던 레위 여자 요게벳은 구전으로 전해지고 있었던 창세기 언약을 모세에게 생을 걸고 전했었습니다. 그 말씀을 받은 모세는 출애굽의 주역으로 쓰임 받으며 모세 5경을 남겨 성경의 기초를 세우는데 쓰임 받았습니다. 우리 각 사람을 통해 만드실 이런 인생의 작품들이 각각 유일무이하게 계획되어 있다는 사실을 명심하시고 귀히 쓰임 받으시기를 바랍니다.

What Should Christians Do in These Turbulent Times?

 

Following global suspicions of election fraud and news of North Korean compatriots starving to death, the conflict between Korea, the United States, Japan, North Korea, China, and Russia is spreading to its greatest extent since the Korean War; and the people of South Korea are divided into two groups and are in conflict. I remember the news delivered during the Korean War 70 years ago. At the time, the Korean War could be said to be a collection of mysteries. First, how did 67 countries in total, including 16 countries that directly participated in the war, 5 countries that provided medical support, 39 countries that provided material support, and 7 countries that helped in recovery after the war, participate without even knowing where the Republic of Korea was? Second, on January 12, 1950, U.S. Secretary of State Dean Acheson first mentioned the so-called “Acheson Line”, which is “the U.S. defense line from the Aleutian Islands, including Japan, excluding the Korean Peninsula and Taiwan, to the Philippines,” so how did the U.S. decide to interfere in the Korean War? Third, if the Soviet Union had attended the UN Security Council convened at the time, its veto would have made it impossible for the UN to participate in the Korean War. Why did the Soviet Union not participate? At that time, there was a national salvation prayer meeting where Korean church leaders gathered together in Busan and cried out to the Lord. Otherwise, all of us Koreans might have faced the terrible reality of Kim Il-sung's rule. The situation is the same today. The forces that had been carrying out an impeachment movement, ignoring the elected president from the beginning, eventually detained the president and imprisoned him in a detention center. We are at a crossroads between whether we will fall under the influence of China and North Korea or whether we will stand strong as a liberal democratic country like the United States.

 

1. Now is the time to hold on to God’s Word and pray.

If you hold onto and meditate on the Word of God given to you and experience answers coming in your life exactly as the given Word, you can confirm the work of the living God. Only in this way can you live a life of faith. However, it seems that most modern church members are not receiving the Word that God gives them through the pulpit of their church. They are worse than non-believers who deeply engrave in their hearts what they have received through Tojeong Bigyeol (a system of divination and fortune telling), fortunetelling, contemplation, and divination. In fact, they are trying to be guided by firmly holding on to the lies that are causing destruction, but we need to check whether we are serving our ego and living a religious life without much interest in the blessings from Almighty Father God. The word “ego” is also said to mean “edging God out.” It is driving God out from within me, who was made as the image of God, and being my own master. If you are not holding on to the Word given during last week's worship service, you are holding on to your ego. Behind that ego, 100% darkness is at work.

However, if you experience the Word of God that you have received working as an answer, you will experience becoming like Christ (sanctification) and begin a life of enjoying the glory of God. All religions practice divination, but those in the gospel have no reason to practice divination. Because we have the Word of the living God. However, even among Christians, those who do not know the fulfillment of the Word go to fortune tellers or those who are said to have the gift of prophecy and offer strange interpretations of the Book of Revelation. I'm not arguing whether that is bad or not. The fact that one is interested in that itself is evidence that the Word of God is not working on him or her.

 

2. In this age where darkness abounds, we as believers must stand as watchmen of the throne. 

Evidence of various election frauds and theories of crisis caused by pro-China and pro-North Korea forces infiltrating all walks of life are spreading. Actions in politics, the judiciary, and the media that deviate from common sense are not new. If God is on a temporary vacation or passed away, there may be a need to risk one's life and go into battle. However, if the reign of the heavenly throne is currently in progress, instead of taking humanistic measures centered on myself, we should boldly go to the heavenly throne, give an account to God the Father, and stand as a watchman of the throne and a witness of Christ. If the national sovereignty was indeed stolen by plotting election fraud, me stepping in would only be like “hitting a rock with an egg.” But if I leave it to God to see Him work, more miraculous things than the mystery of the Korean War may arise. During the evil Roman era, neither the Lord Jesus Christ nor the apostles of the early church participated in anti-government struggles but were only used as obedient evangelists in the field of fulfillment of the Word. I hope we can surrender ourselves to the Lord's reign and work hard to gather together, raise new believers and future generations, and become witnesses of Christ to the ends of the earth.

 

3. God who hears our prayers will give us the Word and work according to the Word.

The Word declared will surely be fulfilled one day within God's timetable. We must remember that the timetable for the great persecution preceded the timetable for the great answer of Rome's evangelization. The baton of the gospel, which has been passed down through the blood sacrifice of Adam and Abel, has come to our Korean church. It seems that the timetable to pass on the baton of the blood-stained gospel of Christ to North Korea and Manchuria, Mongolia and China, the Middle East and the Middle East to Jerusalem has arrived. So there is no need to be too stubborn about what you must do at this time. It will be accomplished in perfect harmony with God's timetable. Various things had, has, and will happen; and everything will all work together for the good of those who love God. 

 

 The most important thing for each of us is to hold on to, meditate on, and live within the Word of God given to us through the church we belong to. David, who was a shepherd boy, lived by the Word and was used to write and compose 73 of the 150 Psalms. He created his life's masterpiece with the Word of God, and it is still being passed down to this day. Jochebed, a Levite whose tribe was cursed by her ancestor Jacob, risked her life to convey the Genesis covenant, which had been handed down orally, to Moses. Moses, who received those words, was used as a leading figure in the Exodus and left behind the Five Books of Moses, which were used to establish the foundation of the Bible. Please keep in mind that these works of life are uniquely planned for each of us, and I hope you too will be greatly used in making them.
