Exodus 2
The Birth and Growth of Moses, the Leader of the Exodus (Exodus 2:1-10)
Pharaoh was afraid of the prosperity of Israel in Egypt, and tried his best to prevent it, ultimately issuing a terrible order
to throw all male children into the Nile River to be killed as soon as they were born. It was a merciless and cruel act that is
not mentioned again in the Bible, except that Herod later took similar action after hearing from wise men from the East
that a baby had been born in Judea that threatened his throne. Even in a situation where death was declared, a child is
born in the middle of enemy lines, and the child survives and grows up under the care of the enemy's family,
clearly proving to us who is the master of history.
1. A family that holds on to the covenant established with Adam and Abraham
1) Among the twelve sons, Simeon and Levi were cursed by their father Israel.
2) A man from the cursed tribe of Levi married a woman from his own family.
3) These couples were the key to transforming the cursed tribe into a priestly tribe.
4) The birth of this child and the feelings that the parents have for this child are called ‘Tov’.
2. Parents who put their child in a papyrus box and placed it between the reeds.
1) The a papyrus box in the text is ‘Teva’, which is the same word as Noah’s ark.
2) Like an ark entrusted to God, it is entrusted to God to be the captain.
3) The Hebrew Bible begins at the beginning of verse 5 with the conjunction ‘be’, which means end.
4) Miriam introduced a nanny who could breastfeed and raise the child.
3. A child raised as the son of a princess
1) The child's parents no longer had to raise the child in hiding.
2) Later, Moses wrote the Pentateuch, including Genesis.
3) Pharaoh’s plan to exterminate Israel failed again.
4) No one can snatch God’s children out of God’s hands.
Conclusion: You can enjoy Christ in any situation
1) If you truly enjoy Christ, all your problems will end.
2) You only need to teach three things well to children in Sunday school.
3) The church must teach them what the curse that comes with idolatry is.
4) After Moses, the tribe of Levi became a priestly tribe.
World evangelization and national evangelization are God's will for those who hold on to the Lord Jesus Christ alone.
Go and make disciples of all nations. This is the covenant. World evangelization! National evangelization! Christ!
The scene entrusted to me! You must hold on to these four things to win. These four things open the doors to all blessings.
When you realize this, your spiritual eyes will open. I hope you get a response.
The last thing to think about is that “a man from the tribe of Levi, who was cursed by his ancestors but held on to the covenant
of Christ, went and married a Levite woman,” and here Moses was born.
The people who hold on to the covenant of Christ will not perish wherever they go. God's will is to be accomplished.
There are so many important things that happen to God's people. I pray in the name of the Lord that today will be
a blessed day to restore the power of prayer.
I pray for your victory in the name of the Lord.
