GOD’S PEOPLE SAVE SOULS

AND SAVE THE NATION

(Genesis 47:13-27)

 

 

 

The Bible says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom. Also, the Bible tells us to seek wisdom from God, who is the source of wisdom.

James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”

We need spiritual wisdom when we face various tests and problems in our lives. Satan changed the human state of mind to center on me and built

a tower of destruction there. But there is a way to overcome the devil. That path is Christ, the path of salvation. We must hold on to Christ as our Savior

and seek the wisdom of God, who gives us generously and does not scold us for the rest of our lives.

Today's text says that while the famine continues in Egypt, Joseph successfully performed his duties as prime minister with wisdom and ability.

Joseph became the prime minister of Egypt by the grace of God, but he had no political experience. However, Egypt, which had no choice but to fall

due to seven years of famine, achieved world evangelization and national evangelization by putting on God's wisdom to save the country and people

through excellent leadership.

 

 

1. Introduction:  

  1) The secret of Ephesians 1:3  Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual

       blessing in Christ.

  2) The secret of Ephesians 1:10   to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment--to bring all things in heaven and on earth together

      under one head, even Christ.

  3) 3 John 1:2  Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.

  4) Isaiah 60:1-22

  5) Joseph’s faith and experience (Genesis 39:1-6, 40:1-22, 41:1-36)

 

2. Those who look to God receive spiritual blessings first.

  1) Genesis 37:1-11

  2) Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.

  3) Jer 33:1-9

    V. 6. " 'Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.

    V. 7. I will bring Judah and Israel back from captivity and will rebuild them as they were before.

    V. 8. I will cleanse them from all the sin they have committed against me and will forgive all their sins of rebellion against me.

    V. 9. Then this city will bring me renown, joy, praise and honor before all nations on earth V. 9. that hear of all the good things I do for it;

          and they will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it.'

  4) Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,

                    they will walk and not be faint.

  5) Psalm 27:1-4

    V. 1. The LORD is my light and my salvation-- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life-- of whom shall I be afraid?  

 

3. Those who look to God save the country. (Genesis 47:13-27)

  1) Purchase of all animals (Genesis 47:13-17)

  2) Purchase of all land (Genesis 47:18-22)

  3) Giving land back to the people to farm (Genesis 47:23-26)  

 

4. Blessings of believers and devoted workers

  1) Land of Goshen (Genesis 47:27)

  2) Land of priests (Genesis 47:22-26)  

 

5. The way to truly save the country and be patriotic

  1) Isaiah 40:6-31

  2) Isaiah 60:1-22

 

 

Conclusion:

How can we reveal God’s wisdom? It is about exalting the name of Jesus in every area of ​​our lives. When we think of the Lord's work, we only think of it

as coming to church and worshiping, studying the Bible, serving, and doing missions. However, we do not think that going to work or being a full-time

housewife and raising children while taking care of the housework is the Lord's work. Colossians 3:23 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart,

as working for the Lord, not for men,.” A life of faith is not something you do with words. It is about showing the Christian life to the world.

This was Joseph's life.

Joseph is a model of the coming Jesus Christ. God's wisdom is revealed when we go beyond preaching Jesus, who is the way, truth, and life, with our lips

and put it into practice with our lives to despairing and discouraged souls in a secular society that is no different from Egypt.

We cannot know the wisdom of God through the wisdom of this world. That is why God saved us. (1 Corinthians 1:21) Seek God’s wisdom in this world.

I believe that when we trust in God, we will gain God’s wisdom.
