알파와 오메가이신 분의 계시
누가 뭐래도 사람은 영원한 존재입니다. 누구나 한 번씩 잠시 잠깐 육신의 삶을 살다가 돌아가게 됩니다. 그래서 삶을 마치고 죽으신 분에게 돌아가셨다고 말하는 것입니다. 어디로 돌아가셨을까요? 왔던 데로 돌아가신 것입니다. 왔던 데가 어디일까요? 알파와 오메가이신 창조주 하나님에게서 왔다가 다시 돌아가는 것입니다. 그러면 빈손으로 왔다가 빈손으로 돌아가는 인생의 목적은 뭘까요? 아담과 함께 모든 사람이 원죄를 범하고 영원한 지옥 형벌을 선고받았기 때문에 사면 복권 받을 유일한 기회로 인생을 사는 것입니다. 사면 복권은 어떻게 받을 수 있나요? 원죄를 범하여 영원한 지옥 형벌을 선고받은 아담과 아담 안에 있었던 모든 각 사람에게 약속된 그리스도를 구주로 영접하여 모시고 그리스도의 사람이 되면 사면 복권 받을 수 있습니다.
1. 왜 사람은 꼭 그리스도를 구주로 모셔야 합니까?
본래 모든 사람은 하나님의 형상대로 창조되었으나 창조 언약을 범한 이후 각기 내가 나의 주인이 되어버렸기 때문에 하나님께서 세워주신 그리스도 언약을 붙드는 길 외에는 구원받을 다른 길은 없습니다. 내가 나의 주인이 되어 사는 게 당연한 줄 알았는데 그게 그렇게 큰 죄가 됩니까? 각 사람이 ‘내가 하나님처럼 주인 된’ 순간, 근본 창조 질서가 깨져 버리고 저주와 고통이 임한 것입니다. 그러면 저주와 고통 속에 빠진 지구는 어떻게 됩니까? 본래 사람에게 허용하신 근본 환경은 에덴동산인데 원죄를 범한 이후 저주와 고통이 임한 지구에 각 사람이 육신의 삶을 살도록 보냄을 받았고, 허용하신 기간 내에 그리스도를 구주로 모시고 사면 복권 받아 하나님의 자녀 된 신분과 권세를 받아가지고 돌아가실 수 있게 됩니다. 아담 이후 가장 마지막 사람이 육신의 삶을 살다가 돌아가는 시간표와 지구 종말의 시간표는 일치하게 됩니다. 물론 아담으로부터 시작해서 모든 각 사람이 육신의 삶을 마치고 돌아가시는 시간과 지구 종말, 각 사람이 부활의 몸을 덧입고 깨어 일어나는 시간, 최후의 심판, 영원한 지옥 형벌 집행, 새 하늘과 새 땅이 열리고 천국 본향의 영원한 삶이 시작되는 시간도 같은 하나님의 시간대라고 볼 수 있습니다. 계시록 1장 8절에 “주 하나님이 가라사대 나는 알파와 오메가라 이제도 있고 전에도 있었고 장차 올 자요 전능한 자라 하시더라”고 하셨습니다.
2. 하나님의 지구 운행 목적은 인류 구원입니다.
모든 성경은 하나님께서 인류를 구원하시기 위해 당신 자신을 예수그리스도로 계시하신 내용입니다. 성경의 마지막 책이요 마지막 장인 계시록 22:16 절에도 “나 예수는 교회들을 위하여 내 사자를 보내어 이것들을 너희에게 증거하게 하였노라.”고 하셨습니다. 창세기가 구속사의 시작이라면, 요한계시록은 구속사의 완성이라 할 수 있습니다. 그러므로 요한계시록을 모른다면 서론만 알고 결론을 알지 못하는 것과 같다 할 수 있습니다. 그래서 마귀의 종들인 거짓 교사들이 창세기와 계시록을 가지고 거짓을 많이 만들어 내는 것입니다.
물론 구약성경 39권과 신약성경 27권의 모든 내용은 예수그리스도의 계시입니다. 그래서 사도 바울도 갈라디아서 1:12 절에 “이는 내가 사람에게서 받은 것도 아니요 배운 것도 아니요 오직 예수그리스도의 계시로 말미암은 것이라”고 선포한 것입니다. 사도 요한이 받아 요한계시록에 기록한 종말 예언도 성육신하신 하나님, 우리 주 예수그리스도의 계시입니다. 사도 요한은 요한계시록 1장에서 계시록의 내용이 “반드시 속히 될 일들”에 관한 것이라고 말씀하십니다. 요한계시록은 개인 종말과 지구 종말에 장차 반드시 있을 일들, 즉 종말 사건들에 관한 것입니다. ‘반드시’라는 말은 게시된 내용이 반드시 이루어질 것이라는 뜻입니다. ‘속히’라는 말은 시간의 주관자이신 하나님의 마음을 나타내십니다.
계시록의 내용들은 누구에게나 반드시 속히 될 일들입니다. 각 사람에게 허용하신 육신의 삶이 끝난 이후에는 동일하게 재림의 시간으로 연결됩니다. 아담 이후 모든 시대의 각 사람은 이 말씀대로 때가 가까움을 의식하며 살아왔습니다.
3. 이 말씀을 받는 자들과 그들에게 임하는 축복
계시록은 세상 모든 교회에 보내는 편지의 형식으로 되어 있습니다. 사도 요한은 먼저 삼위 하나님으로부터 은혜와 평안이 그들에게 있기를 기원하였습니다. ‘이제도 계시고 전에도 계셨고 장차 오실 이’는 영원 자존하신 여호와 하나님을 가리킵니다. 하나님께서는 모세에게 자신을 ‘스스로 있는 자’라고 계시하셨습니다(출애굽기 3:14). 하나님께서는 영원 전부터 스스로 계신 분이십니다. 사도 요한은 삼위일체 되신 하나님으로부터 은혜와 평안이 우리에게 있기를 기원하였습니다. 은혜와 평안은 성도에게 필요한 모든 것이 온전한 축복입니다. 하나님께서 주시는 평안은 현세의 평안뿐 아니라, 천국에서의 영원한 평안도 포함하신 축복입니다. 구원받은 성도는 왕 같은 제사장이 되어 남은 인생을 하나님의 동역자가 되어 전도와 선교사역에 쓰임 받으며 영원한 면류관을 받을 수 있게 되었습니다. 아직 이 세상에 살지만, 천국 백성이 된 성도들은 천국 보좌 중심의 삶을 언약의 여정으로 사는 것입니다.
누구나 각기에게 주어진 인생의 기간이 끝나면 하나님께로 돌아가 잠들며, 그리스도께서 재림 오시는 날 모두 깨어 부활의 몸을 덧입고 일어나게 됩니다. 그러기 때문에 아담안에 있던 모든 사람 중에 구원받은 사람은 천국 혼인 잔치의 신부가 되고 새 하늘 새 땅에서의 영생을 살게 됩니다. 그러나 복음을 거짓으로 여기며 주어진 인생을 소진한 자들은 사면 복권받지 못하고 영원한 지옥 불 못에 던져지게 될 것입니다.

The Revelation of the One Who Is the Alpha and the Omega
No matter what anyone says, a person is an eternal being. Everyone lives a brief, temporary physical life before returning. That is why we say that someone who has finished their life has “returned” or “gone (back).” Where did they return to? They returned to where they came from. Where is that? They came from the Creator God, who is the Alpha and Omega, and return to Him. So, if we come empty-handed and return empty-handed, what is the purpose of life? Because all people committed original sin with Adam and were sentenced to eternal hell, we live life as the only opportunity to receive amnesty and restoration. How can we receive amnesty and restoration? By accepting Christ, who was promised to Adam and to everyone in Adam who committed original sin and was sentenced to eternal hell, as our Lord and Savior, welcoming Him, and becoming a person of Christ, we can receive amnesty and restoration.
1. Why must a person accept Christ as his or her Lord and Savior?
Originally, everyone was created in God's image, but after breaking the creation covenant, each person became their own master. Therefore, there is no other way to be saved except to hold onto the Christ covenant that God has established. Is it such a great sin for each person to live as their own master, something we thought was natural? The moment each person became their own master like God, the fundamental created order was broken, and curse and suffering came upon us. Then what happens to the earth that has fallen into curse and suffering? Originally, the fundamental environment allowed for humanity was the Garden of Eden, but after committing original sin, each person was sent to live a physical life on an earth filled with curse and suffering. Within the allowed time, each person can welcome Christ as their Lord and Savior, receive amnesty and restoration, and return with the status and authority of a child of God. The timeline of the last person after Adam living a physical life and returning coincides with the timeline of the end of the earth. Indeed, the time of each person's death from Adam onwards, the end of the earth, the resurrection and awakening, the final judgment, the punishment in eternal hell, and the beginning of the eternal life in the new heaven and new earth are all part of God's single timeline. Revelation 1:8 says, "’I am the Alpha and the Omega,’ says the Lord God, ‘who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.’”
2. God's purpose in running the earth is the salvation of humanity.
All of Scripture is the revelation of God Himself as Jesus Christ for the salvation of humanity. Revelation 22:16, the last verse of the last book of the Bible, states, "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches." If Genesis is the beginning of redemptive history, then Revelation can be called the completion of redemptive history. Therefore, not knowing Revelation is like knowing only the introduction and not knowing the conclusion. That is why false teachers, who are servants of the devil, create many lies using Genesis and Revelation.
Of course, all the content of the 39 books of the Old Testament and the 27 books of the New Testament is a revelation of Jesus Christ. That is why the Apostle Paul also declared in Galatians 1:12, "I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ." The end-times prophecy that the Apostle John received and recorded in Revelation is also a revelation of God incarnate, our Lord Jesus Christ. In Revelation chapter 1, the Apostle John says that the contents of Revelation are about "what must soon take place." Revelation concerns events that must certainly happen in the future, that is, end-times events, concerning both individual and global ends. The word “must” means that the revealed content will definitely come to pass. The word “soon” reveals the heart of God, who is the Lord of time.
The contents of Revelation are things that must certainly happen soon to everyone. After the physical life allotted to each person ends, it connects directly to the time of the Second Coming. People in every age since Adam have lived with an awareness of the nearness of that time, according to this Word.
3. Those who receive this Word and the blessing that comes upon them
Revelation is written in the form of letters sent to all the churches worldwide. The Apostle John first prays for grace and peace to be with them from the Triune God. The phrase “He who is, and was, and is to come” refers to the LORD God, who is eternally self-existent. God revealed Himself to Moses as “I AM WHO I AM” (Exodus 3:14). God has been the Self-Existent One from eternity past. Apostle John prays that grace and peace from the Triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—be with us. Grace and peace are the complete blessings that Christians need. The peace that God gives includes not only peace in this life but also the eternal peace of heaven. Saved believers become kings and priests, serving as God's co-workers in evangelism and missionary work in their remaining earthly lives, and they will receive the crown of life. While still living in this world, believers who are citizens of Heaven live their lives centered around the throne of Heaven as a covenant journey.
When each person’s allotted time on earth comes to an end, they return to God and sleep. On the day Christ returns, everyone will wake up, put on their resurrection bodies, and rise. Hence, among all people in Adam, those who are saved become the bride at the heavenly wedding feast and will live eternally in the new heaven and new earth. However, those who consider the gospel false and waste their lives without faith will not receive pardon and restoration and will be cast into the eternal fire of hell.
